    Abstract: A crack detection line device and a method are disclosed. An embodiment comprises a semiconductor device comprising a crack detection line within a chip, the crack detection line surrounding an inner area of the chip, wherein the crack detection line comprises a first terminal and a second terminal. The semiconductor device further comprises a test circuit connected to the first terminal and the second terminal, the test circuit configured to measure a signal over the crack detection line and an output terminal, the output terminal connected to the test circuit and configured to provide a measured signal.
