  • Publication number: 20180017089
Abstract: A distance ring is provided for constraining retraction of a hydraulic cylinder in applications including a steering rod in a vehicle suspension. The distance ring comprises an outer body of a rigid material lined by an inner body of flexible material, with the inner body having an opening of substantially identical dimension to that of the cross-section of the steering rod. A vehicle steering cylinder assembly including the distance ring mounts it together with a number of similar but unlined rings to adjust permitted travel of a steering cylinder rod.

  • Patent number: 7413201
Abstract: The invention discloses a utility vehicle, in particular an agricultural tractor, with a steering system having single-wheel-suspended steering wheels, which are mounted on a respective wheel carrier (11). Each wheel carrier (11) may be swivelled about the axis of at least one rigidly connected bolt (18) and is connected via a ball-and-socket joint (9) on the at least one bolt, to a transverse steering element (1) that is articulated to the vehicle body. Associated with the ball-and-socket joint (9) is a steering angle sensor (22) comprising a rotatable input member (23), which is located at least approximately in the extension of the axis of the swivel bolt (18). The rotatable input member (23) is connected to the bolt via an entrainment element (25) that transmits the swivel motion of the bolt in an angularly precise manner to detect the current swivel position of the wheel carrier (11).

  • Patent number: 5036737
Abstract: To direct the leading edge of a cut web element, cut by knives (3) on a cutter cylinder pair (1, 2), to an inlet region of transport belts (6, 7) running over deflection rollers (8, 9), air jet nozzles (10, 11) direct an air cushion or air pillow into the nip between the cylinders (1, 2). The cylinders are formed with a plurality of circumferential grooves (18, 19) or a spiral groove (21), so that the air can pass along the nip and continue to guide the cut leading edge of the web. Suction nozzles 22, 23 enhance the air cushion effect applied to both sides of the web. If the web is a multi-ply structure, the air cushion or air pillow additionally contributes to adhesion of the various plies against each other.

  • Patent number: 4994187
Abstract: Sweeper means for circular settling basins wherein at least a pipe is supported by a radially extending support structure adapted to be rotated about a central vertical axis by driving means, wherein further the discharge end of the pipe being connected to a sewage sludge return line which is extended below the settling basin and extended into the basin in the central area thereof and which is adapted to deliver the sewage sludge outwards of the settling basin, the support structure being suspended on a vertical rotary shaft coupled to the driving means, the other end of the pipe moving in conjunction with the support structure being connected to a rotary connection below the level in said settling basin to which also the sludge return line is connected.
