  • Patent number: 4217915
Abstract: To facilitate curling and waving of hair during brushing, the hair brush has a cylindrical body which has an outer surface which is of a good heat conducting material, in which bristles, in the form of plastic stubs, are inserted. An electrical heating element is in thermally conductive relationship with the heat conductive surface so that hair can be dried, straightened, or curled by contact with the heated body while being brushed, and without danger of contact with the skin due to the spacing effects of the bristles. The bristles are preferably molded integrally with a rail or strip inserted into grooves in the heated body.
