  • Patent number: 5785462
Abstract: An anchoring cartridge for a hardening multi-component composition on the basis of a resin hardening by the reaction of radicals has an inner cartridge element containing the resin component and fillers and an outer cartridge element containing the hardener component. To allow the anchoring rod to be put in position by hand by driving the anchoring rod in fully, without spurting out or running out occurring during the operation of putting the rod in position, and to enable fillers to be used in both components to increase the strength, the inside width of the annular space between the inner and outer cartridge elements corresponds at least to the wall thickness of a cartridge element. Further, the resin contains a thixotropic agent which increases the viscosity of the resin to such an extent that the filler parts are suspended in the resin.

  • Patent number: 5730565
Abstract: An anchor bolt for anchoring with a compound mass in a hole drilled in a building component comprises a bolt element having a leading end and a rear end, elements for fixing an article at the rear end, and a mixing attachment arranged at the leading end of the bolt element and having a point. The mixing attachment has an outer surface provided with a plurality of radially projecting lugs which are arranged circumferentially and axially spaced from one another.

  • Patent number: 5666633
Abstract: Interlocking metal parts that slide under pressure on one another are manufactured so that at least one metal part is manufactured by a powdered metal injection-molding method, an in order to improve the sliding behavior and to minimize the binding tendency, a non-metallic substance having a structured arrangement of molecules is admixed in powdered or granular form with the powdered metal of the metal part manufactured by powder injection molding. The substance is inert towards the metal and has a thermal stability of at least 900.degree. C. In particular, ceramic solid materials or fillers are suitable substances.

  • Patent number: 5655864
Abstract: In an expansible fixing plug having an internal bore passing right through the plug body into which an expansion bolt in the form of a nail or screw is to be driven, the internal bore is arranged helically wound around the center line and at least for a part of its length has a diameter that is the same as or slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the expansion bolt.

  • Patent number: 5647709
Abstract: An anchor bolt to be anchored by an explosive charge in a blind bore in a solid material, in particular a rock face or concrete, has a deformation chamber containing the explosive charge. To achieve inexpensive manufacture of the anchor bolt, simple mounting and high withdrawal values of the anchor bolt to be anchored, the deformation chamber open towards the leading end of the anchor bolt is closed by a stopper. A striking pin projecting beyond the leading end of the anchor bolt is inserted and guided in the stopper, so that as the rear end of the anchor bolt is hit the striking pin contacts an ignition capsule arranged between the stopper and the explosive charge.

  • Patent number: 5637158
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an expansible anchor comprises the steps of forming one part as a partially slotted expansible sleeve composed of corrosion-resistant steel and anchorable in a building component, forming another part as an expander body composed of corrosion-resistant steel and arranged to be driven into the expansible sleeve so as to anchor the expansible sleeve in the building component, enriching one of the parts with interstitially dissolved, non-metallic alloying constituents selected from the group consisting of carbon, nitrogen and boron, and ageing by heat treating so as to precipitate the alloying constituents in the form selected from the group consisting of carbides, nitrides and borides, respectively, to achieve increased hardness.

  • Patent number: 5634752
Abstract: An anchor bolt has locking elements arranged over a part of the outer surface and formed as radially projecting lugs which are spaced circumferentially and axially from one another. Therefore a good mixing of a compound mass and reduction of the driving-in resistance is obtained. Therefore the outer diameter measured over the lugs of the anchor bolt can be matched approximately to the diameter of the drilled hole. Simple and inexpensive manufacture of the anchor bolt can be provided by powdered metal injection molding method using a system of binders with subsequent removal of the binders and sintering.

  • Patent number: 5569091
Abstract: The expansible metal anchor (1) for anchoring in a hole drilled in a component includes a shank part (2) and an expander cone (4) having a polygonal cross-section defining several faces (13) at its front end. On each face (13) of the expander cone (4) an expansible segment (5) is arranged spaced from that face by a gap (7) corresponding approximately to the distance (8) by which the expansible segments (5) project radially from the shank part (2). Each expansible segment (5) is joined to the shank part (2) at its end face directed towards the shank part (2) by web members (6, 6') constituting predetermined break points. As the expansible anchor is driven into the hole drilled in the component, the web members (6,6') break off, so that the expansible segments (5) are displaceable on the faces (13) of the expander cone.
