  • Publication number: 20150182317
Abstract: A method is provided for making a dental restoration at a certain tooth color shade. The method comprises joining a veneer precursor, a framework and a compensation material to form the dental restoration. The tooth color shade is selected from among a continuous range of tooth color shades, but individual components of the dental restoration may be selected from discrete color shades. Further, a dental restoration, a kit and a use of the kit are provided in accordance with the invention.

  • Patent number: 8597719
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for attaching a dental facing on a dental support structure comprising water, a glass and/or glass ceramic material, a rheological modifier with a molecular weight above about 500,000. The invention also relates to a process comprising the steps: providing a dental facing precursor and a dental support structure, both having an upper and a lower surface, attaching the dental facing precursor with its lower surface to the upper surface of the dental support structure, comprising the step of placing a mating composition between the lower surface of the dental facing precursor and the upper surface of the dental support structure and to the use of the inventive composition for producing dental restorations.

  • Patent number: 7856286
Abstract: The invention relates to the processing of data regarding the three dimensional shape of a dental prosthesis, having two prosthesis sections and a connector section, wherein the connector section is connected to the two prosthesis sections and is less stable than the two prosthesis sections. The method includes the steps of (a) determining a stability parameter and a stability criterion for the connector section, (b) calculating the actual value for the stability parameter from the data, (c) checking the connector section to determine whether the actual value fulfills the stability criterion, and if not, generating a warning signal is to the user.
