  • Publication number: 20030098811
Abstract: In a method of estimating the position of a mobile station (2) in a mobile radio network (1) on the basis of propagation models, at the mobile station (2) the field strength of a plurality of base stations (6-8) connected to the mobile station (2) is measured, the distance between the mobile station (2) and each of the base stations (6-8) connected to the mobile station (2) is estimated on the basis of a propagation model, and the estimated distances are stored, the estimated distances being filtered and the position of the mobile station (2) being estimated on the basis of the filtered estimated distances. In a further development the propagation model used can be adapted on the basis of the measured field strengths. In this way a more accurate position determination of the mobile station (2) can be effected.

  • Patent number: 6564983
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the web tension in a perforation-welding system for making bags from synthetic resin foil webs in which whistling noises are eliminated by passing the web over a wall of a polygonal duct having an air outlet opening to which compressed air is fed. The air cushion and hence the spacing of the web from the wall is measured by an ultrasonic detector on the opposite of the web.

  • Patent number: 5045655
Abstract: An electrical command or information device housing of the type adapted to be affixed to an assembly plate through a substantially circular bore hole thereof which selectively includes or excludes a radially inwardly opening keyhole slot or notch includes a rib which projects radially outwardly from the housing and is adapted to be received in the keyhole slot. The rig has high shear resistance in a direction substantially tangential to the housing, but includes at least one notch for effecting relatively low force break off of the rib upon the application of radial or axial forces thereto.

  • Patent number: 4713498
Abstract: A switch gear which includes a housing have first and second sides and a third side therebetween, at least one main contact bridge in the housing displaceable between two ON-OFF switch position, a spindle rotatable by a handle and carrying a body having a cam slot receiving a cam follower of a contact bridge holder, the contact bridge holder carrying contacts for effecting the two switch positions with associated pairs of fixed contact rails carried by the housing, the fixed contact rails being connectable by connector screws to electrical hook-up leads at the respective first and second housing sides, first and second separate housing compartments adjacent the first and second housing sides and carried associated ones of the connector screws, the first and second contact rails being connected through the respective first and second separate housing compartments for connection to the electrical hook-up leads by the connector screws, and the first and second separate housing compartments being selectively moun

  • Patent number: 4679373
Abstract: A method and device is being proposed for the simple setting and positioning of a door frame (12) for example in a wall opening (10). Thereby inflatable air bags (20,22) are set between the corner areas of the frame (12) and the wall opening (10) which cause a vertical and horizontal power on the frame jambs (14, 16, 18), which are positioned with this power. Expanding elements (28, 30) can also be placed between the frame longitudinal jambs (14, 10).

  • Patent number: 4451720
Abstract: Electric devices, like control and signal devices, in particular cam switches are mounted individually or in rows adjacent to each other and/or superimposed with respect to each other in bores of a mounting plate. In order to provide a device which is very simply constructed, simple to manipulate and which is usable for different embodiments of devices and lengths of devices it is suggested that a coupling plate with a spring clip is mounted on the front end of the device facing the mounting plate, and that an insert housing is provided which can be inserted from the outside through a bore and which is provided with a retaining device cooperating with the edge of the bore, and including actuating means cooperating with the spring of the coupling plate.
