  • Publication number: 20090173710
Abstract: The invention relates to a chassis (1) for a cable or pipeline trolley (2), for travelling along a carrier rail, said chassis comprising at least one pair of carrier rollers (3) with a horizontal rotational axis and at least one pair of guide rollers (4) with a vertical rotational axis. The disadvantage of known chassis of this type is that they jolt at uneven sections of the carrier rail and a significant supply of replacement parts is required for repairs. The aim of the invention is to develop a chassis with improved driving characteristics, whilst at the same time reducing production and inventory costs. To achieve this, the carrier rollers (3) and guide rollers (4) are essentially arranged asymmetrically to a vertical axis (5).

  • Patent number: 7555449
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for automatically updating individual conditions associated with a pending conditional financial transaction. As the price of a financial instrument varies, a pending conditional financial transaction may be issued to cause the financial instrument to be bought or sold whenever its price satisfies certain specified conditions. In the field of common stock transactions, the disclosed method automatically updates a pending conditional sell order, called a stop loss order, upon the occurrence of several conditions, such as when the current stop loss order has expired, when the current price of one share of the stock has risen a predetermined percentage above the current stop loss value, or when the total value of all of the shares of the stock has increased beyond a predetermined percentage limit. When a stop loss order is updated, a new stop loss value is calculated based upon the current price and a percentage leeway in the price.

  • Publication number: 20090026032
Abstract: A conductor clamp (4) for a trailing line (5) which is secured to crabs (7) which can be moved along a carrier rail (1) comprises a support (8) for the trailing line, a clamping device (9) for securing the trailing line to the support and a shock absorber (10) for absorbing an impact of the first crab on the conductor clamp. The shock absorber has at least two spring bodies (20, 22) which have different characteristics and which are arranged one behind the other in the anticipated direction of action of the shock absorber. In this context, the most resilient spring body (20) is arranged closest to the end of the shock absorber which is provided for the application of an impact force. The shock absorber also has a lifting rod (16) which can be displaced under the effective impact force in the anticipated direction of action of the shock absorber. At the two ends of the lifting rod, spring bodies with different characteristics are arranged.

  • Publication number: 20060143227
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to a system and method for persisting software objects. In an embodiment, objects are scanned with object introspection to identify the members of the object. The members are transformed into an intermediate data structure. The scan and transformation process can be influenced with configurable rules. If the object references another object, then the process is repeated recursively on the other object. Thus, in an embodiment, an entire object closure may be scanned and transformed into the intermediate data structure. The intermediate data structure is persisted in a data store.

  • Patent number: 6196922
Abstract: The universal joint coupling comprises a housing (20) in which a torque transmitting pair of coupling members is arranged between two axial force transmitting pairs of coupling members (22, 24), each of which includes a spherical cup (22) and a ball segment (24) supported therein. The torque transmitting pair of coupling members (26, 28) has grooves which are arranged in two concentric rows and are defined by gaps in an internal gear ring (26) fitted into the housing (20), or an external toothing (28). They cooperate for torque transmission with counter-acting bodies, the profile of which matches the groove profile. Both the external toothing (28) and the ball segments (24) form part of a hub (16).

  • Patent number: 5294047
Abstract: In an electronic thermostat timer having a time-keeping switch and having a thermostat, having an optoelectronic display (6) arranged at the front side of the housing for the time of day, the switching times and the switching temperatures, having a manual, key-shaped input device (7) for the time of day, the switching times and the switching temperatures in a common housing (1), the housing (1) is provided with a quadratic cross section, particularly having the edge dimensions 60.times.60 mm. A cylindrical clockface dial (3) is provided at the front side (2) of the housing (1), the outer circumference of said cylindrical clockface dial partially projecting beyond the sides (17) of the housing (1). A thermostat module (5) that is covered by a housing cover (10) is arranged at the back side (4) of the housing (1).
