  • Patent number: 7360483
Abstract: A device for the guidance of lower rams across the lower-ram head in a rotor-type rotary press in the area of a filling device wherein a charging cam is disposed between an ejector cam which precedes as viewed in the direction of production and a proportioning cam adjustable in height and is configured such as to lower the heads of the lower rams revolving along with the rotor from the level at the end of the ejector cam to a lower-located transition level of the proportioning cam, a press-mounted, first charging-cam element having a first filling-cam portion joining the ejector cam is provided on which the lower-ram heads are guided solely on the side facing the rotor axis subsequent to the ejector cam, an adjustable second charging-cam element is provided and has a second filling-cam portion on which the lower-ram heads are guided solely on the side facing away from the rotor axis before encountering the proportioning cam, that the second charging-cam element is displaceable both vertically and in the circu

  • Publication number: 20060186568
Abstract: A method for test pressing tablets consisting of n layers in a rotary tablet press, the rotor provided with an upper punch and a lower punch (pair of punches) is moved with the pair of punches in a defined filling position, in which the die bore associated with the pair of punches is filled with the material for the first layer of the tablet, wherein the filling cam is moved into a first position, the ejection cam is moved into a lower position, and pressure rollers are moved into a first pressing position by means of associated adjustment drives; then the rotor is rotated by a full revolution and the pair of punches is stopped in the filling position; the filling cam is adjusted to a second filling position, the ejection cam is adjusted to the ejection position and the pressure rollers are adjusted to a second pressing position; thereafter the first die bore containing the first layer is filled with the material for the second layer; and the rotor is rotated by a further full revolution and the pair of punch

  • Patent number: 6659517
Abstract: In an apparatus for transmitting and method a movement which, as a function of a first, translational movement of a first coupling element to which a first component can be coupled, produces a translational movement of a second coupling element to which a second component can be coupled. The invention provides that the first and the second coupling element are connected to one another, such that they can move by a first rigid element, and in that the first coupling element is connected to a first lever which is mounted in a fixed position, and the second coupling element is connected to a second lever which is mounted in a fixed position. When a movement is being transmitted, the arrangement thus results in the capability first of all to retard the movement of the second component and later to accelerate it again in a corresponding manner, or vice versa.
