  • Patent number: 7169147
Abstract: A ureter resectoscope with an elongate flexible stem tube (4) of substantial length and small external diameter, of which the distal end piece (5) is made from insulating material and which accommodates an optical unit (6) as well as a rod-shaped instrument carrier (11). The instrument carrier is disposed so as to be longitudinally displaceable parallel to the optical unit and bears on its distal end an electrode (12, 12?) that can be supplied with high-frequency current and, on its proximal end after passing through a bore in a main body (1) disposed on the proximal end of the stem tube, is fixed and electrically contacted on a slider (13) mounted so as to longitudinally displaceable.

  • Patent number: 6708948
Abstract: A stopcock for controlling ducts in a medical endoscopes passing flux media, including a housing made of a hard material and rotatably receiving a conical plug in a conical seat crossed by a duct. The housing subtends, in the direction of the axis of rotation and beyond the larger opening of the conical seat, a bearing collar which supports a rotary body that is rotatable about the axis of rotation. The rotary body is fitted outside said housing with a handle and is rotationally coupled with the plug. The rotary body is axially displaceable and biased by a spring relative to the plug and is further fitted with a radially elastic detent device, which in the assembled state of the stopcock is configured inside the housing. The rotary body, by operation of the detent device, acts in a locking manner against the spring action on the bearing collar. The rotary body includes a prefabricated rupture site that, following deliberate rupture, exposes the snap-in device.

  • Patent number: 6439541
Abstract: A trocar sleeve for introducing instruments into gas filled body spaces including an insertion tube and a valve chamber disposed proximally on it with a duckbill valve of elastic material. The duck bill value has a tubular body extending coaxially with respect to the axis of the insertion tube. An end of the body directed towards the insertion tube has two flat oblique walls forming a ridge with a slit extending therein transverse to the axis of the tube. The tubular body is oversized in a direction transverse to the slit with respect to the internal size of the valve chamber in the uninstalled rest state.

  • Patent number: 5196011
Abstract: A cutting electrode for medical resectoscope has an insulated loop support displaceable in the axial direction of the resectoscope shaft, the distal end of the support carrrying an un-insulated cutting loop extending from the end of the loop support transversely to the axial direction a predetermined distance depending on the extent of cutting desired. A spacer carried by the loop support extends distally in front of the cutting loop and laterally of the cutting loop a smaller distance than that of the cutting loop and is shaped to provide smooth, low-friction engagement with tissues with which it comes in contact.
