  • Patent number: 8016478
Abstract: The invention relates to a multistation mixing device for mixing the contents of laboratory vessels. The device comprises at least two adapter plates having a holder for receiving laboratory vessels and a drive mechanism capable of driving the adapter plates in a mixing motion with the same angular speed such that, in horizontal planes, each point of the adapter plates performs a circular motion with the same radius, the same angle speed and the same angular position around a respective center. The starting positions of the adapter plates, from which the adapter plates are driven by the drive mechanism, are rotated relative to one another by an angle in the direction of the mixing motion in their respective angular position, such that imbalances occurring during the mixing motion are at least partially compensated.

  • Publication number: 20100284238
Abstract: The invention relates to a multistation mixing device (2) for mixing in particular the contents of laboratory vessels, having at least two receptacle adapters (4, 6, 8, 10), each having a holder for receiving vessels, in particular laboratory vessels, in particular in exchangeable blocks (13, 14, 16, 18), and a drive (22) by means of which each of the receptacle adapters may be set in a mixing motion that has the same angular speed such that, in horizontal planes, every point of the receptacle adapters performs a circular motion with the same radius, same angle speed, and same angle position around a respective center (circular, translational, oscillating mixing motion), characterized in that the starting position of the receptacle adapters, from which the receptacle adapters can be set by the drive in the circular, translational, oscillating mixing motion, is rotated by a certain angle in the direction of the mixing motion such that the imbalances occurring during the mixing motion compensate for one another

  • Publication number: 20080084004
Abstract: A microtitration plate has a frame (2) made of a first stiff plastic and having a plate (4) with multiplicity of holes (2?), and a multiplicity of vessels (3) made of a second plastic suited for the PCR and/or exhibiting permeability to oxygen, which are fixedly connected to the plate (4) by directly molding them to the holes (6), which have a receiving portion (9, 10, 11) protruding from an underside (8) of the plate (4), and which are accessible from an upper surface (7) of the plate through apertures (15).
