Abstract: A coin handling system having a coin sorting system which singularizes, counts and sorts coins or similar disk-shaped objects and has a plurality of sorting outlets in combination with a coin safe which features a plurality of coin bins. The coin bins are each associated with one coin sorting outlet and have a coin-specific dispensing unit. The coin dispensing units of each coin bin are connected to a spatial distribution unit which enables the dispensing of a predetermined number of a specific coin type to be fed to one of a plurality of coin compartments located on a coin cassette.

Abstract: Coins are supplied in an endless file on track having marginal edges preventing lateral movement to a counting station at which a sensor is provided. Provided also at the counting station is a stop member actuated by an electro-magnetic responsive to the counting of a predetermined number of coins to interpose the stop member in the marginal spaces between the coins after first engaging the last coin of the count at the counting station.

Abstract: In a coin counter wherein coins from a centrifugal disc are passed in succession over a guided passageway under contact with a continuous transport belt, the outlet space from the disc, the width of the passageway and the pressure of the transport belt are simultaneously adjusted in accordance with the width and diameter of the coins being counted.
