The device can be easily integrated as complementary equipment in a large number of the dishwasher racks and provides the user with the possibility of rapidly filling objects and even fitting objects which are non cylindrical in shape. The fixing device comprises a first section designed to be coupled with the rack of a dishwasher, and a second section that extends substantially vertically forming a curve, the first section being designed to be non rotating and to be coupled with a vertical element of the dishwasher rack.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a controller for switching on or off, or for selection of operational functions for the dishwasher, the controller thus providing improved ease of operation and being relatively unaffected by wear and contamination. The controller has at least one touch-sensitive surface with switching functions allocated to at least one operating function, whereby the switching functions of the touch-sensitive surface may be operated with a light contact and the relevant operating function is then switched on or off, or selected. The touch-sensitive surface of the controller preferably reacts to the change in the electromagnetic field, resulting from a touching of the touch-sensitive surface, whereupon the relevant operating function is switched on or off, or selected. Improved ease of use may be achieved, whereby only a slight effort is required for selection, or to switch on a particular rinsing program, or operating function on the controller.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided, wherein the protruding wash residues can be automatically cleaned in the most efficient manner possible in the washing liquid lines, in order to maintain the cleaning effect of the washing device. The dishwasher comprises at least one washing compartment, and a washing device that is used to spray the liquid into the inner chamber of the washing container, in addition to at least one washing liquid line which is used to supply the liquid to the cleaning device. The washing liquid line comprises at least one first opening and one second opening that is arranged at a distance from the first opening, over which the respective alternative cleaning liquid can be supplied in a pressurized manner.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a washing container for retaining therein objects to be washed by the dishwasher and a system for drying objects to be washed, making it possible to efficiently dry the wet objects to be washed while taking into account economic considerations. The system for drying objects to be washed includes a heat generator for heating at least part of the air present in the dishwasher and a humidity sensor that detects the humidity of at least part of the air present in the dishwasher. The inventive dishwasher offers the advantage that only the amount of energy that is actually required for optimal drying is supplied in the form of heat energy for drying, whereby energy is saved, and a particularly gentler drying process can be carried out, whereby the influences of stress upon the objects to be washed are reduced.

Abstract: A crockery basket with racks for items to be washed in dishwasher machines is provided, wherein the height of the racks is variable. To this end, the crockery basket is provided with a number of holding elements, by which means at least one rack can be arranged at different heights in the crockery basket. In this way, at least one rack for an item to be washed can be fixed at various heights in the crockery basket according to the spatial requirements of the item to be placed in the crockery basket or on the rack. The possibilities for varying the position of the item to be washed in the crockery basket or on the rack are thus improved, and the space available in the crockery basket is better used.

Abstract: A dishwasher with a display device that uses a display surface in order to display a plurality of information and light means in order to display different colors is provided. The light means produces a light beam that is directed to at least one display surface, wherein at least one color filter disk is arranged in the beam path of the light beam produced by the light means, the disk determining the color of the light beam. Based on the selection of the color filter disk, different colors can be produced and different types of information can be reproduced on the display surface, for instance, information on the manufacturer or range of products of the dishwasher in question without having to modify the display device.

Abstract: A fixing element is provided for fixing a household appliance to a part of the kitchen cabinetry, which is adjacent to the household appliance. The fixing element is configured as a fixation lug and is disposed between the household appliance and the part substantially at least over the total height of the part of the kitchen cabinetry. A compact fixing element is thus obtained, which permits a precise, stable, easy and economic fixation of the household appliance into an opening in the kitchen cabinetry. Another advantage of the lateral fixing element is the clean and pleasant aspect thereof. Moreover, flexible use of only one type of fixing element is possible, due to the fact that the element can be used independently of the counter top material as well as in case of elevated mounting of the appliance or in case of a cutout counter top.

The dishwasher has the advantage of requiring no additional tray for placing the pieces of silverware, thus reducing production costs. The inventive device for placing pieces of silverware is particularly suitable for use in a built-in dishwasher.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a dish washing machine (1) comprising, inside a washing tub (3), at least one spraying device (6), to which a pump (8) supplies washing liquid and which is provided with spraying openings (5). The washing liquid is sprayed into the washing tub (3) via said spraying openings (5). The aim of the invention is to be able to easily detect when the spraying openings (5) become clogged. To this end, the pump (8) is switched on and washing liquid can be supplied even when the washing tub (3) is accessible. In doing this, the flow rate of the washing liquid through the spraying openings (5), however, is simultaneously reduced to such an extent as to prevent washing liquid from spraying out of the open washing tub (3) and into the free surrounding area.
