  • Patent number: 6505513
Abstract: In an arrangement for measuring the rotational velocity of a rotatable wheel (21) at or in a vehicle (23) by means of a sensor (1) which is manufactured by a thin-film technology, which comprises magnetoresistive sensor elements (11, 12, 13, 14), and which measures a magnetic field modulated by means of a toothed structure (22) of the wheel (21) in dependence on the rotational velocity thereof, an optimized guidance of interference currents which may be induced through radiation from electromagnetic fields is achieved in that an electrically conducting layer (5) is provided at the outside of the sensor (1), which layer (5) reduces a capacitive coupling between the wheel (21) and the sensor elements (11, 12, 13, 14) which would occur without said layer (5), and which layer (5) in its turn is capacitively coupled to the wheel (21), in that the electrically conducting layer (5), which is made of a metal material, is manufactured by a thin-film technique at least at one side of the sensor (1) by means of layer d

  • Patent number: 6437773
Abstract: A notebook computer has a basic body comprising a bottom shell and a top shell. A display unit is arranged in a pivotable lid housing and a keyboard is detachably mounted on the top shell. A cutout is provided in the top shell and an outwardly directed electrical contact configuration is secured on an assembly that is attached to the basic body such that the contact configuration is secured in the cutout. The contact configuration is for electrically contacting the keyboard, which has a corresponding mating contact configuration.

  • Patent number: 6304033
Abstract: An electron beam tube (1) having an input resonator cavity (2) through which a high-frequency control voltage is applied between cathode (15) and grid (17) of the tube (1), while an annular electrode (8) connected in an electrically conducting manner to the grid (17) of the tube is arranged opposite a metal wall (9) of the input resonator cavity (2) and is connected to a DC power supply lead (11). Interference oscillations are suppressed in that a high-frequency damping material (14) is associated with the DC power supply lead (11) on a part of the length located proximate to the annular electrode.

  • Patent number: 5845977
Abstract: A housing has a frame including a top wall, a front wall, a rear wall and open side surfaces. The housing also has a pair of side wall sections, a cover section, and a front panel. The front panel is placed over the front wall and includes locking catches received in openings in the frame. The side wall sections are assembled to the frame over the open side surfaces so that they cover the locking catches. The side wall sections include snap-in catches received in openings in the frame. The cover section is installed in a laterally offset position over the top wall and then moved laterally to an installed position wherein it covers the snap-in catches of the side wall sections. The cover section further includes a slideable bolt which in a locked position prevents the cover section from being moved to the laterally offset position.

  • Patent number: 4218794
Abstract: A combination tool capable of drilling a hole in a workpiece, driving a fastener into that hole, and withstanding the vibrational environment of a rotary hammer is provided. An adaptor having a tapered portion which is inserted in the chuck of a power tool, such as a rotary hammer, has a polygonal drive transmitting configuration on its other end. A longitudinal bore extending at least partially along the axis of the adaptor receives a drill bit. The bit and bore have mating external and internal tapers to insure driving engagement. Once the bit has drilled a hole in a workpiece, a drive collar is slipped onto the polygonal drive transmitting portion of the adaptor and the fastener-engaging recess thereof used to drive a self-tapping fastener into that hole.
