  • Publication number: 20070121514
Abstract: In one aspect, a method for negotiating bearer properties in a communication network providing a plurality of Media Gateway Controllers and a plurality of Media Gateways, in which bearer properties are maintained, and maintaining reference lists in the Media Gateway Controllers, the reference list comprising influenceable bearer properties is provided.

  • Publication number: 20050091392
Abstract: A method for codec negotiation between two gateway controllers, wherein the gateway controllers manage, in a link-independent manner, a codec list with codec types which are supported by the respective media gateway, thereby avoiding ultimate disconnection of a set-up link as a result of unsupported codecs.

  • Publication number: 20040258016
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for signalling a codec negotiation over heterogeneous signalling networks. In a heterogeneous network environment, interfaces can be present, for a transmission, which are governed by limitations in terms of a codec negotiation. Especially cases in which only a limited set of codecs is supported and/or signalled in the target network, or in which the target network only has a limited number of elements, for example one element, from which proposed codec lists can be extracted or evaluated, present problems. If this is the case, as a result, connections are rejected if non-supported codecs are signalled. The aim of the invention is to provide an improved method for signalling codec negotiations, whereby as few as possible signalling calls are rejected. To this end, a significant idea of the invention is that the list of supported codecs is resorted before the signalling call in the emission network.

  • Patent number: 6049817
Abstract: A multiprocessor system is disclosed wherein optimum utilization of all active processors is achieved for processing of static task packets. Active processors in a multiprocessor system independently fetch tasks from a central task control table of common memory for processing. The processors wait at a synchronization point until the conditions determined by the synchronization point have been satisfied.

  • Patent number: 5758333
Abstract: A data management system should relieve the user of data management tasks as much as possible and nevertheless be flexible with respect to user-individual forms of the user data. This aim is achieved according to the invention by a generic database (GDB) having a central control system (CU) and generic data modules (GM), the generic data modules already containing all the functionality to carry out access control and data maintenance in cooperation with the central control system, and the generic data modules nevertheless allowing a user-individual form of the user data.
