    Abstract: A device to be used for space heating and/or cooking comprises a solar collector connected via an inclined heat pipe to a heat store. A thermal load, in the form of a heat-emitting plate, either is in direct contact with the solar collector or the heat store or is connected to that store via another heat pipe. The emission of heat can be controlled by changing the angle of inclination of the last-mentioned heat pipe or of the entire unit.
