    Abstract: A device for displaying and operating a remotely adjustable room regulator has a space-saving display panel fitted with LEDs and an operating panel equipped with pushbuttons. To reduce the power consumption and thus to increase the service life of a battery for supplying voltage to the display panel, the operating mode display is effected only for a predetermined period of time from manually or program-controlled switching over into the current operating mode. Thereafter the display panel remains deactivated.
