  • Patent number: 9538933
Abstract: An ECG monitoring system continuously monitors a patient's ECG waveform and periodically identifies the patient's QT interval. QT interval values are averaged over time and a corrected interval value QTc and a change in QTc relative to a baseline, dQTc, are periodically produced. An alarm is responsive to updated QT interval values and issues an alarm whenever a selected QT value exceeds an alarm limit. The periodically produced QT interval values are stored and a trend display may be produced showing changes in the QT interval information over different periods of time. The trend display may selectively display the trend information either graphically or in tabular form.

  • Patent number: 9462955
Abstract: An ECG monitoring system analyzes ECG signals of leads associated with different anatomical locations of the body for evidence of ST elevation in the lead signals. The ST elevation and depression measurements of the leads are plotted in a graphical display organized in relation to the anatomical points which are the sources of the lead signals. The locations of the plotted measurements in the anatomically-oriented display indicate the identity of a specific coronary artery or branch as a possible culprit coronary artery for an acute ischemic event, as well as the possible severity of the event from the magnitudes of the plotted signals. A clinician can identify a suspect culprit coronary artery from a quick glance at the graphical display.

  • Patent number: 9445764
Abstract: When monitoring physiological parameters (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) of a patient, a threshold limit (30) is set (e.g., automatically or manually) and the monitored parameter is continuously compared to the threshold limit, which may be constant or may vary with time. An alarm (36) is triggered if the monitored parameter exceeds the threshold limit at any time, or if the monitored parameter has not reached a target value by the end of a predefined time period by which an administered drug or therapy should have been effective.

  • Patent number: 9250104
Abstract: The present invention suggests the use of independent, wireless, smart and therefore self-contained sensors (3, 4, 5) in a patient monitoring system (1). The sensors (3, 4, 5) provide their own communication system for transmitting acquired signals to a patient monitor (8) etc. Furthermore a patient identifier (26) is associated to the communication. This approach introduces a patient-related concept, where all communication is personalized and assigned to the patient (2).

  • Patent number: 8515531
Abstract: A method of medical monitoring using data collected by a number of sensors, wherein the position of the sensors form a predefined arrangement and collected data depend on the position of the sensor on the patient. The method includes displaying data using a number of multiaxis diagrams where the position of the axes is related to the position of the sensors in the predefined arrangement, and on each axis data from its related sensor is displayed. Further, a multiaxis diagram is used, wherein each axis represents a particular dimension of data and spatial information is displayed in addition to the pure values. With this additional information a two- or three-dimensional representation and localization of data is provided. The technique allows a more effective recognition of monitored data and enables physicians to perform a fast pattern recognition to recognize and evaluate a patient's situation in a quicker and more effective way.

  • Publication number: 20090275846
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of medical monitoring, a medical monitoring system and a computer program to control a medical monitoring system. In order to provide an improved monitoring technique that allows a more effective recognition of monitored data a method of medical monitoring is suggested, the method using data collected by a number of sensors (2), the sensors (2) are positioned on a patient in a way that the sensors (2) form a predefined arrangement and the collected data depend on the position of the sensor (2) on the patient. According to the invention the method comprises the step of displaying data using a number of multiaxis diagrams (6, 7) in which the position of the axes (8, 10) is related to the position of the sensors (2) in the predefined arrangement, and on each axis (8, 10) data from its related sensor (2) is displayed.

  • Patent number: 6942283
Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in its fixed roof, includes a frame having longitudinal guide sections, and a closure moveable by a closure operating mechanism between a closed position and an open position in which the closure is slid under the fixed roof. A drain channel is positioned under the rear edge of the roof opening at least in a closed position of the closure and is movable with a drain channel operating mechanism, which is capable of moving the drain channel in the opening direction of the closure. The drain channel operating mechanism is adapted so as to cause a relative movement between the drain channel and the closure. The relative movement may be used to move the drain channel such that the drain channel occupies less space when the closure is at its fully opened position, which leads to a saving of space within the frame.

  • Publication number: 20050140164
Abstract: A vehicle has a roof assembly (4) opening an opening (17) in the vehicle roof which includes at least a rear cross beam (12). The roof assembly comprises at least one closure element (8,9,10) which is at least one closure element (8,9,10) which is at least movable between a closed position for closing the roof opening, and an open, rearwardly displaced position, in which the roof opening is at least partially released. The rear cross beam (12) is connected to pivotable arms (13) which are at least pivotally attached to the body (1). The at least one closure element (8,9,10), when in the open position, forms a unit (15) with said rear cross beam (12). The unit (15) is pivotable by means of said arms (13) between an operative position at the roof and an inoperative position in the trunk (3) of the vehicle.

Abstract: A self-pumping hydropneumatic spring strut with internal leveling for motor vehicles includes a working cylinder filled with damping medium. The working cylinder is under the pressure of at least one gas cushion arranged in a high-pressure chamber and acting as a spring. A piston divides the working cylinder into two working spaces and is connected to a hollow piston rod. Valves are arranged on the piston so that the two working spaces are in communiction through the valves. A piston pump is driven by the spring movements and pumps oil out of a low-pressure chamber into the working space connected to the high-pressure chamber and comprises a pump space formed by the hollow piston rod, a pump rod connected to the working cylinder. A further pressure generator acts upon the damping medium in the high-pressure chamber and/or the working space connected to the high-pressure space.
