  • Publication number: 20070256275
Abstract: The invention relates to an overhead door closer. For reducing the width of the overhead door closer including the casing, it is proposed that the overhead door closer has two compression springs, which are disposed one inside the other, that the spring supporting member and the damping piston have an anti-rotation means in relation to the cam disc and in that the housing wall has a reduced cross-section on both sides of the longitudinal axis such that a substantially planar surface is formed on the outside.

  • Patent number: 6591551
Abstract: There is now provided a swinging door with a door closer having a slide rail at the door frame with a suspension system for adjusting the height of the slide rail with respect to the door frame. The suspension system comprises a height adjustment device, which comprises a threaded sleeve (5) that has a first female thread (5d) and a threaded bush (4) that has a male thread (4c). The threaded bush (4) can be screwed into the first female thread (5d) of the threaded sleeve (5) to adjust the height of the slide rail, and the slide rail (2) is located on the exposed side of the threaded bush (4).

  • Patent number: 5461754
Abstract: A door closer being affixable to a door for closing the door. A channel having a slide therein for engaging with a detent also in the channel for holding the door open. The slide is connected to an arm of the door closer which arm moves the slide along the channel into contact with the detent which holds the door open once the detent and the slide have engaged with one another.

  • Patent number: 4872636
Abstract: An exterior mirror for a vehicle, including a support or base mounted on the vehicle, and a housing that accommodates a mirror body and is mounted on the support or base in such a way that it is pivotable to the front and to the rear relative to the forward direction of travel of the vehicle. The housing is pivotable against a spring force in such a way that after a pivoting movement the housing returns to a normal position. A slide member is mounted to the housing and in the normal position of the latter rests against the base of an approximately V-shaped channel in the mirror base or support under spring force. During pivoting of the housing in one direction, the slide member, against the spring force, moves along one of the side surfaces of the channel, while during pivoting of the housing in the opposite direction, the slide member moves along the other side surface of the channel.

  • Patent number: 4836490
Abstract: An exterior mirror for a vehicle, including a base mounted on the vehicle, and a housing, for a mirror body, mounted on the base in such a way as to be pivotable to the front and to the rear relative to the forward direction of travel of the vehicle. A lever arm is mounted on the base in such a way as to be pivotable in the direction of pivot of the housing. One end of a swivel arm is directed toward the base and is hingedly connected with the lever arm. One end of a tension spring is connected to that end of the swivel arm that is remote from the base. A second end of the tension spring is connected to the base in the vicinity of where the lever arm is mounted on the base. The housing is connected to the swivel arm, in the vicinity of that end of the latter remote from the base, in such a way that the housing is pivotable about either its front or rear edge against the force of the tension spring.
