Patent number: 9926650Abstract: A clothing wire for a clothing roller of a carding machine extends in a wire longitudinal direction and having a base segment, which is thicker transversely to the wire longitudinal direction. A leaf segment, which is narrower compared to the base segment, protrudes from the base segment. A plurality of teeth is formed on the leaf segment along the clothing wire in the wire longitudinal direction. Each tooth has two leaf segment lateral surfaces adjoining the base segment. On at least one of the leaf segment lateral surfaces, at least one projection is formed on each tooth. The cross-sectional profile of the projection is asymmetric and preferably has the contour of a nose. The design of the clothing wire results in a homogenization or parallelization of the fibers, with little wear of the clothing wire and less damage to the fibers.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2014Date of Patent: March 27, 2018Assignee: GROZ-BECKERT KGInventor: Bernhard Bocht

Publication number: 20170002483Abstract: A clothing wire for mounting on a clothing roll of a carding machine has a base section (1) and a blade section (4). A gradient dh/db of the height (h) as a function of the width (b) of at least a first section (10) of at least one blade-section side face (5, 6) is greater than the gradient dh/db of a second section (11) of the at least one blade-section side face (5, 6). The second section (11) is closer to the base section (1) than the first section (10). The sign of the gradients dh/db is the same. In a region which extends to a vertical distance of at most ? of the overall height of the blade section beneath the at least one second portion (11), there no protrusions or indentations cause a gradient sign change on the at least one blade-section side face (5, 6).Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2015Publication date: January 5, 2017Inventor: Bernhard BOCHT

Patent number: 7325278Abstract: The present invention relates to an all-steel card clothing for rollers and/or cylinders of carding machines. Carding machines comprise rollers which are configured to actively take over raw fiber materials from rollers arranged upstream in work direction. Therefore, such card clothings have a relatively large front angle. The problem is that the stability of the card clothings suffers. According to the invention, the teeth have a head angle of >85° in order to solve this problem. The length of the head surface extending at said angle from the tooth tip to the tooth back corresponds to at least ¼ of the length of the tooth pitch. This achieves a considerably more stable card clothing while maintaining the high carding quality.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2003Date of Patent: February 5, 2008Assignee: Trützschler Card Clothing GmbHInventor: Bernhard Bocht

Patent number: 6996878Abstract: The present invention relates to a device, such as a carding machine, for processing fibers, said device comprising a cylinder, which is provided with a lining, and at least two carding segments which are arranged one after the other in the direction of rotation at least over an area of the circumference of said cylinder, each of said carding segments being provided with a toothed lining. The present invention aims at improving the efficiency of such a device especially in terms of fiber parallelization.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2001Date of Patent: February 14, 2006Assignee: Hollingsworth GmbHInventors: Hermann Maidel, Peter Artzt, Volker Jehle, Bernhard Bocht

Publication number: 20050229362Abstract: The invention refers to a card engine or card machine comprising a measuring device for detecting the forces prevailing between the revolving cover and the drum. The device shall be improved in such a manner that the quality of the treated fibres can be influenced in an economical and efficient manner. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the measuring device comprises a sensor for detecting the power consumption of the drive of the revolving cover. The sensor is arranged on the drive of the revolving cover or acts thereas, thereby facilitating the use of commercially available elements, which in turn is more economical.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2003Publication date: October 20, 2005Inventor: Bernhard Bocht

Publication number: 20040056137Abstract: The invention relates to a device for winding card clothing onto a roll with a roll drive unit and a brake device acting on the card clothing for generating a winding pretension in the region of the card clothing between the roll and the brake device. The procedure of winding should be improved by this device. In this respect, the brake device includes at least one braking roller, pressing onto the outer side of the card clothing and running with it, and a brake-force device producing the braking force, whereby the brake-force device brakes the card clothing indirectly via the braking roller.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2003Publication date: March 25, 2004Inventors: Bernhard Bocht, Axel Bauersachs

Patent number: 5072491Abstract: A hopper feeder for blending and feeding textile fibers is disclosed which includes a chute (3) having a bottom conveyor belt (5) and an upwardly inclined spiked lattice (6) for reducing and opening the fibers, and inclined surface (4) is disposed in the chute and extends at least half the length of bottom conveyor belt (5), and receives textile fiber from an overhead reciprocating feeder. A freely rotatable roller (11) maintains a column of fibers in working relation with spiked lattice (6). A door (15) is provided below inclined surface (4) through which textile fiber may be fed directly.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1990Date of Patent: December 17, 1991Assignee: Hergeth Hollingsworth GmbHInventors: Akiva Pinto, Guenter Lucassen, Bernhard Bocht

Patent number: 4890357Abstract: Apparatus for cleaning textile fibers such as cotton, etc. is disclosed wherein the fibers are conveyed by an air current to an opening roller cooperating with a grate, and the transport air is separated at a feed box. The separated air (17) serves for discharging contaminants accumulating in a space (9, 11) beneath the cleaning grate (8). The opening roller (7) may be provided with a toothed wire (20) whose teeth have a relatively acute top rake (22).Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 1988Date of Patent: January 2, 1990Assignee: Hergeth Hollingsworth GmbHInventors: Akiva Pinto, Guenter Lucassen, Bernhard Bocht

Patent number: 4864693Abstract: A textile fiber preparation feed system and method are disclosed in which processed textile fibers from a blender (A) are delivered to a flow-through textile cleaner (B) and then directed to a vertical chute feed (C). An air stream conveys the fibers from blender (A) to chute feed (C) across cleaning rollers (34, 36) of cleaner (B) without a nip feed providing increased cleaning efficiency. Control system (60) continues operation of top feed roll (52) after termination of carding machine (14) and discharge of fiber batt (12) from the chute feed to purge excess fibers in the air stream. In this manner, accumulation of the excess fibers in a fiber column (F) above top feed roll is prevented which would block air exit (50) and choke down top feed roll (52) upon resumption of the carding machine or fiber batt discharge.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1988Date of Patent: September 12, 1989Assignee: Hergeth Hollingsworth GmbHInventors: Akiva Pinto, Guenter Lucassen, Bernhard Bocht
