  • Patent number: 11091660
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a thermosetting polymeric powder composition in a 3D printing process to produce a 3D duroplast, wherein the composition comprises at least one curable polymeric binder material and at least one thermoplast having a Tg and/or Mp below the temperature provided in a pass of the printing process and wherein during each pass of the printing process said polymeric binder material is at least partially cured within the layer thus formed and also at least partially crosslinked with the previous layer. The invention furthermore relates to a 3D printing process using such a thermosetting polymeric powder composition and a 3D-printing product obtained when using such a thermosetting polymeric powder composition.

  • Publication number: 20200062952
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a thermosetting polymeric powder composition in a 3D dry printing process to produce a 3D duroplast object, the composition comprising at least one curable polymeric binder material with free functional groups, wherein during the 3D dry printing process the formed object is only partially cured to a curing degree of below 90%, preferably below 60%, most preferably between 35% and 60%, and the printing process is being followed by a post treatment comprising a heat treatment step to fully cure the printed object into a 3D duroplast object.

  • Publication number: 20200010717
Abstract: The invention relates to a powder coating composition containing a binder combination. The binder combination comprises the following components: A) 15 to 70 wt. % of the binder of one or more amorphous carboxyl group-containing polyester resins, having an arithmetically averaged acid number of 50 to 100 mg KOH/g, B) 20 to 50 wt. % of the binder of one or more epoxide group-containing polymers with an arithmetically averaged epoxide equivalent weight of 350 to 650 g/eq, preferably 400 to 650 g/eq, preferably based on bisphenol A and phenol novolak, C) 5 to 55 wt. % of the binder of one or more crystalline or semi-crystalline carboxyl group-containing polyester resins, having an arithmetically averaged acid number of 15 to 00 mg KOH/g, D) 0.5 to 6 wt. % (based on the entire formulation) of one or more catalysts (accelerants) for the crosslinking reaction(s), and optionally E) 0 to 10 wt.
