A method for monitoring the expiration date of contrast bottles may include labeling the contrast bottles and reading the information from the label into a computing device. The computing device may be configured to monitor the expiration dates and to generate an alarm responsive to a current time being within a threshold duration of the expiration time for a contrast bottle.
