  • Patent number: 7451007
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and a method for integrated development of projects of different levels, especially of automation projects in the MES and Controls area. The integrated development is facilitated by the use of uniform models. In this case a first project planning solution, especially an automation solution at the control level, is created in a first project planning environment (1), a second project planning solution, especially a solution for coordination of processes and/or execution sequences of the first project planning solution, is created in at least a second project planning environment (2) with a common data and/or object model being used by the project planning environments at least for the creation of the project planning solutions of the project planning environments and data and/or objects being identified in one of the two project planning solutions for use in the other project planning solution in each case.

    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Stefan Bamberger, Luca Bortoloso, Stefan Nitzsche, Maurizio Pazzini, Thomas Reuter, Bernhard Gaissmaier, Michael Kerndlmaier, Ralf Leins, Mario Minigutti
  • Patent number: 7197434
Abstract: A supervisory control system and display client are disclosed. The supervisory control system generates a graphical display representative of an operational status of operational components in a plant, facility or process being supervised. There are typically several types of operational components in the plant, facility or process. The system includes a server in communication with the operational components via a network. The server maintains a plurality of equipment unit objects, each of the equipment unit objects having one or more parameters representative of the operational status of the operational components. A display client is in communication with the server. The display client stores one or more equipment symbol objects, each of the one or more equipment symbol objects defining a graphical representation of one of the one or more operational components in the graphical display.
