The computer system can include a proposed process chain module configured to select, based on the plurality of segment definitions, a proposed process chain including a first proposed segment corresponding with an existing segment from the plurality of existing segments, and including a second proposed segment different from each existing segment from the plurality of existing segments. The computer system can include an operational relationship module configured to define an option for an operational relationship between the existing segment from the plurality of existing segments and the second proposed segment of the proposed process chain.

Abstract: A system and method for managing channel partner responsibilities. According to an embodiment, an application receives an assignment of a responsibility to a channel partner or the channel partner's employees and assigns the responsibility thereto. According to another embodiment, an application receives a command by the brand owner to search for a channel partner or channel partner's employee based on responsibility data of the channel partner or the channel partner's employees, generates a search rule based on the command, executes the search rule in order to perform the search, and provides results of the search to the brand owner. According to another embodiment, in response to a command, an application searches a database for a channel partner to perform a job, selects a channel partner to perform the job whose responsibilities most closely match the job, and automatically dispatches the job to the selected channel partner.

Abstract: An automated lead distribution system for Customer Relation Management (CRM) performs automatic distribution of business leads based upon a set of rules. A comparison is made between parameter data of a business lead and a series of criteria which must be met to satisfy a rule. If the series of criteria of a rule are satisfied, instructions associated with the rule are executed to select at least one partner from a qualifying group to receive the business lead. A distribution algorithm is applied to balance a number of leads assigned to each partner. Automating the lead distribution process decreases the amount of manual intervention and channel support costs involved in determining the “best” partner. The system may also provide support to a manager if manual intervention is required to assign a lead to a partner by proposing a subset of partners determined to be best suited for the work based on particular criteria.
