  • Publication number: 20080012297
Abstract: A flexible pipe element, in particular for the exhaust gas system of a motor vehicle is provided. The pipe element includes a metal bellows (1), with a thread-like or annular corrugated construction, and a metal hose (3), which is positioned coaxially within the metal bellows (1), and is formed of segments that are annular or wound in the manner of a thread. The external cross section of the hose is smaller than the interal cross section of the metal bellows. At least one spacer (4) is arranged between the metal bellows (1) and the metal hose (3). The metal hose (3) is configured in such a way that at least in a compressed position of the metal hose (3), the individual wound sections or the individual annular segments that do not have a radial form-fit with a respective adjacent one of the wound sections or segments.

  • Patent number: 6354332
Abstract: A coolant line for air-conditioning systems that are operated with carbon dioxide as a coolant, particularly air-conditioning systems of motor vehicles, can be tightly connected at both ends to connecting parts. The line has an inside, metallic, corrugated hose that is coolant-tight, a radially pressure-resistant, flexible, metallic jacket that surrounds the hose with radial spacing and provides axial support, and a compression-proof, temperature-resistant intermediate plastic layer that fills the space between at least the radially-outside corrugation crests of the metal hose and the jacket so as to prevent play.

  • Patent number: 5042438
Abstract: A valve-controlled internal combustion engine has a first valve group consisting of three inlet valves and a second valve group consisting of at least one exhaust valve for each cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The valve axis of one valve of a valve group, relative to valve axis of the other valves of the group, is arranged at a different angle from a center longitudinal plane running through a row of cylindrical bores of the internal combustion engine and is at a different distance from the center longitudinal plane. A camshaft controlling the inlet valves and a second camshaft controlling the exhaust valves or valves are arranged in the cylinder head. Rocker arms for actuating the corresponding cams of the camshafts are rotatably mounted on spindles.
