  • Publication number: 20230004907
Abstract: Systems and methods for tailoring a single prescription for different users for completing tasks on equipment are provided. A prescription representative of a flowchart or decision tree for performing a main set of the tasks is obtained. Characteristics of the equipment and/or a user of the prescription are obtained. Content of the prescription that is displayed to the user during performance of at least some of the tasks on the equipment is tailored based on the characteristics. The content of the prescription is tailored by hiding one or more of the tasks that are not applicable to the equipment from display to the user. This can occur without any data or information being removed from or added to the prescription. Instead, the prescription can be tailored by changing what information is automatically and/or initially displayed to the user.

  • Publication number: 20140279802
Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory device. The computer is configured to a) receive decision-making criteria from at least one of at least a portion of a plurality of agents associated with a plurality of agent devices, the memory device, and a user, b) generate valid decision combinations using at least a portion of received decision-making criteria, c) transmit, to the plurality of agents, valid decision combinations, d) receive, from a deciding agent, a decision, and e) constrain, using the received decision, valid decision combinations. The computer is configured to f) return to c) until determining that no more decisions can be received. The computer is configured to g) transmit a final decision set to the plurality of agents upon determining that no more decisions can be received. The final decision set represents a complete combination of decisions including at least a portion of received decisions.

  • Patent number: 6349300
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for facilitating a purchaser's selection of a color for a product. In one embodiment, a purchaser is able to interact with a library of available colors for a product over a digital communication network, such as the Internet. The purchaser is able to browse the color library to identify a color of interest. Additionally, the purchaser is able to compare a color of interest to the available colors in the library to assess whether an available color for the product is close enough to the color of interest. Further, the purchaser can order chips or plaques of the available colors identified during a session so that a comparison of the color of interest to actual color samples of the product can be made before an order is placed.
