  • Patent number: 7823829
Abstract: An equipment-fastening device EFD to enhance the crash safety of aircraft, for fastening a piece of equipment to a support structure of an airframe, includes a load-limiting release mechanism and a load-peak transformer connected to the release mechanism and having a load-limiting, impact-energy-absorbing deformation element. Load peaks that occur in case of a crash and that stem from equipment fastened to the support structure by means of the equipment-fastening device are first reduced to a residual load peak by the EFD after the release, thereby relieving the stress on the support structure. Only then is any residual load peak that might still remain introduced via a first fastening section of the EFD into the support structure with a time delay vis-à-vis the load peaks that occurred originally.

  • Publication number: 20090266442
Abstract: In order to determine a level, especially a safety level of a liquid container of an appliance operating with or processing a liquid, particularly a household appliance, a detector circuit is connected to a liquid level sensor array and emits a warning signal when the respective liquid reaches or exceeds a certain defined level in the liquid container accommodating the same. The aim is achieved by the fact that the liquid level sensor array contains at least one liquid level sensor which is provided with an electrically conducting contact part that is disposed in an isolated manner and encompasses an area which is uncovered or exposed for contacting the liquid only at the height of the defined level while the contact part is connected to a signal input of the detector circuit whose reference potential input associated with the corresponding signal input is connected to the liquid.

  • Publication number: 20080123556
Abstract: A method and a circuit carry out initialization/registration steps for a device, in particular a household appliance, which can be connected to a network. The first initialization/registration of the device is controlled by adding an initialization signal on the actuation of a mechanical circuit device and wherein an address clearly identifying the device in the network is allocated to the device for initialization/registration. In order to carry out the initialization/registration, a control state signal which corresponds to circuit state of circuit device is stored in a flag memory which is associated with the device after the first initialization/registration of the device; after stopping and then restarting the device in the network, the adjusting state of the circuit device is compared to the memory state of the flag memory which corresponds to a determined combination function.

  • Publication number: 20050265245
Abstract: A method transfers data in a local household network. The local household network has at least one network-capable domestic appliance and at least one gateway to at least one other network. The network-capable domestic appliance can be integrated in a local household network and the local household network contains at least one gateway to at least one other network. The domestic appliance includes a testing device configured such that a preset criterion of the domestic appliance can be tested with the testing device. The data can then be transferred from the domestic appliance to the gateway when the preset criterion is satisfied.
