  • Patent number: 10442636
Abstract: An interim storage device (1) for separated and oriented objects (2) includes an object inlet (3), a rotating turntable (4), a spiral-shaped object path (5), and an object outlet (6). Either the object inlet (5) or the object outlet (6) is in line with the spiral origin (7) while the other is in line with the spiral end (8). The spiral-shaped object path (5) features a fixed spiral (9) which is placed above the turntable (4) without making contact.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 13, 2016
Date of Patent: October 15, 2019
    Assignee: Finatec Holding AG
Inventors: Fridolin Maibach, Matthias Hermle, Bernhard Kubalek, Martin Gerber, Christian Gräser
  • Publication number: 20190168434
Abstract: It is proposed to carry out an optical inspection of preforms (7) by means of at least one camera device (2, 3, 13), in such a way that the preforms (7) are in a relative position to each other that is unchanged in comparison with the injection molding operation.

  • Patent number: 9656302
Abstract: A method and a device for transporting and examining fast-moving objects to be treated, the objects comprising an outer surface and a top surface, (e.g. preforms, bottles, containers, lids, closures). The device comprises an examining unit with an inspection camera and a rejection unit, the bodies being rejected by expulsion using a contactless exertion of force.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2014
Date of Patent: May 23, 2017
    Assignee: FINATEC HOLDING AG
Inventors: Matthias Hermle, Bernhard Kubalek, Fridolin Maibach
  • Patent number: 9613414
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an accompanying system for inspecting objects (5) provided with a gas-barrier layer. The objects have at least one base layer (5a) of a first material, polyethylene or polypropylene, for example, and at least one gas-barrier layer of a different material, EVA or EVOH, for example. An image-recording module (6), such as an infrared camera, records an image of each object (5) and processes the images by means of a processing module (7) in such a way that faulty objects (5) are detected and eliminated. More specifically, the image recording module (6) creates the image of each object (5) within the invisible light spectrum, and the processing module (7) then examines the recorded image, wherein the presence, the absence or the thickness of the gas-barrier layer is determined on the basis of the image.
