  • Publication number: 20070264468
Abstract: A coextruded opaque multilayer film comprises an opaque thermoplastic polymer core and pigmented color layers on both sides of the core provided the composition of the core is different from the compositions of the pigmented color layers, and the pigmented color layers are not black or gray. The inventive film provides a method to vary the color or colors of the outer surfaces of the film which is advantageous in the variety of obtainable colors and also in cost when less expensive pigments are used in the opaque core which allows using less of expensive pigments in the pigmented color layers.
