Abstract: A process for making detergent granules having a bulk density of 300 to 700 g/l. A solid carrier containing neutralizing agent is mixed in a rotating mixer with a liquid binding agent containing surfactant acid to forma partially granulated premixture. The premixture is fluidized, sprayed with additional binder, and granulated in a fluidized bed reactor to form the detergent granules.

Abstract: The present invention describes easily soluble surfactant granulates containing builders, having a variable bulk weight and an excellent solubility profile, containing the neutralized from of an anionic surfactant acid and sodium carbonate and sodium hydrogencarbonate, produced by neutralization of mixtures of anionic surfactant acids and builder acids with solid neutralizing agents. The present invention provides a method for producing surfactant granulates, comprising providing a mixture of anionic surfactant acids and builder acids having a weight ratio of 1:500 to 50:1 of builder acid to surfactant acid and contacting the mixture with solid neutralizing agents.

Abstract: The present invention describes surfactant granulates and methods for producing surfactant granulates. In particular, it relates to methods which allow the production of readily soluble surfactant granulates and detergent and cleaner compositions in a cost-optimized manner. In one embodiment, the invention provides compositions comprising the neutralized form of an anionic surfactant acid, sodium carbonate, and sodium hydrogencarbonate, wherein the weight ratio of sodium carbonate to sodium hydrogencarbonate is from 5:1 to 2:1.
