  • Patent number: 8038084
Abstract: The invention relates to a roller mill having a mill housing, a mill path which is supported so as to be rotatable about a mill axis inside the mill housing, and at least one mill roller which can be rotated about a mill roller shaft and which is engaged with the mill path in terms of rolling action. There is further provided a pivot lever which is for rotatably retaining the mill roller and which has a pivot shaft arranged parallel with the mill roller axis and which is supported outside the mill housing. The pivot lever is further in operational contact with a hydropneumatic resilient system in order to adjust the pressing pressure of the mill roller. The pivot lever is supported outside the mill housing with spacing therefrom in such a manner that the forces which are produced by the hydropneumatic resilient system are dissipated into the mill foundation directly or via pillars.

  • Patent number: 6644859
Abstract: The invention relates to a supporting roller set for tiltable, axially movable and rotatable support for a rotary drum which can be driven in rotation. It comprises two supporting rollers which lie symmetrically on both sides of a vertical longitudinal central plane of the rotary drum and are each mounted in two rotary bearings which are fixed on bedplate which is tiltably supported on a static foundation. In order to be able to achieve an optimal self-adjustment with easy action of each supporting roller, each bedplate is supported by way of two articulated bearings disposed at a transverse spacing from one another on the foundation, of which the inner articulated bearing is constructed in the form of a ball-and-socket bearing, whilst the outer articulated bearing forms a movable bearing and is supported on the foundation so as to be slidably movable about the central point of the ball of the inner articulated bearing.

  • Patent number: 5462370
Abstract: In this tiltable supporting roller bearing according to the invention for supporting a rotary drum there are provided a freely rotatably mounted supporting roller and an appertaining bearing structure which is tiltably supported with respect to a stationary foundation plate with the aid of easily shifted support bearings which are arranged inclined against one another in such a way that the point of rotation of the line of contact between the supporting roller and the riding ring of the rotary drum lies with the vertical central axis of the supporting roller. With a particularly simple and reliable design, this construction makes it possible to compensate for skewing of the rotary drum riding ring and at the same time markedly to reduce or largely avoid undesirable consequences of the axial forces resulting from longitudinal movements of the rotary drum.

  • Patent number: 5415541
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary drum with relatively large dimensions, the shell of which is supported by means of riding rings each on a pair of supporting rollers of a supporting roller stand. For this purpose the rotary drum shell merely bears two riding rings which are attached so as to be fixed against rotation and which are supported on two supporting roller stands of which at least one simultaneously forms the rotary drive arrangement for the rotary drum in the form of a friction drive. This produces a combination of features by means of which the mounting of the rotary drum is statically determinate and can be driven reliably in an extremely simple manner.

  • Patent number: 5312056
Abstract: The invention relates to a roll mill, particularly a material bed roller mill for the comminution of brittle material for grinding, with two grinding rolls which are driven so that they rotate in opposite directions and are pressed against one another at high pressure, each of these grinding rolls having a roll shell of wear-resistant chill cast material with a surface profile. So that the rolls have a particularly good nip capacity and a high wear resistance, profiles in the form of weld beads of wear-resistant deposit welding material are applied to the surface of the chill cast roll shell.

  • Patent number: 5253816
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine for compacting and/or crushing bulk material, in which two rollers which can be pressed together at high pressure each consist of a main roller body and a roller shell which is releasably connected to the main roller body and is composed of individual segments. Each of the individual segments has one single lug projecting in the circumferential direction on the front long side in the direction of rotation of the roller and one single complementary recess on the rear long side in the direction of rotation of the roller. The generatrices of the outer surfaces of the segments point in the circumferential direction and run radially with respect to the roller axis. This results in a simple construction of the segments and a high degree of security against tilting.

  • Patent number: 5199657
Abstract: A roller mill assembly composed of a pair of rollers spaced apart to form a crushing zone therebetween and having recesses which are dimensioned and shaped so that during the grinding process feed material is embedded in the recesses and fills them to increase the draw of feed material into the crushing zone.

  • Patent number: 5000392
Abstract: This grinding roller intended for use in a material bed roller mill comprises a basic body and a roller shell composed of individual firmly clamped segments, and several sheets of softer material which run transversely and are aligned radially are cast into each segment which is made largely from chill casting. In a simple manner this produces a surface profiling of the roller shell which remains approximately constant during the operating life of the segments with improved feeding behavior of the material for grinding.
