    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for simple and efficient determining characteristics during a transition between an AAL2 signalling protocol and at least one another signalling protocol of at least one communication network. The inventive method and device are characterised in that at least one characteristic is determined on the basis of parametric values assigned to the AA2 signalling protocol and in that the determined characteristics are used for reproducing the parametric values of the AA2 signalling protocol in the parametric values of another signalling protocol.
