  • Patent number: 6553815
Abstract: The method and apparatus according to the invention permits stable driving operation of a motor vehicle at an extremely low vehicle speed by means of an electronic control unit. The internal-combustion engine is automatically adjusted by the control unit to a special rotational speed operation when a defined switch is operated or when a defined set of conditions exists. During special rotational speed operation, the special rotational speed is below the normally permissible idling rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 5638720
Abstract: An arrangement for damping vibrations in a vehicle transmission shifting system in which the shift rod between the gear shift lever and the shifting transmission is divided into two parts. The two partial sections are connected with one another by way of a hinge and a support bearing. The support bearing has play and is provided with an elastic layer to effectively dampen vibrations occurring perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod.
