  • Patent number: 7636025
Abstract: A duplexer that includes an input filter (Rx filter), an output filter (Tx filter), and one or more of an isolation line and a delay line is disclosed. The Rx and Tx filters are microwave (MW) resonators and include continuous, internally metallized holes in a ceramic body. The ceramic body includes a metal coating substantially covering the external surfaces of the ceramic body except for an end face and one or more recesses on a bottom side of the ceramic body. An output of the Rx filter on the bottom side of the ceramic body is electrically connected to a balun. The ceramic body has a first height in an area of the Tx filter and a second height in an area of the Rx filter, the second height being less than the first height.

  • Publication number: 20070194862
Abstract: It is proposed that a balun implemented in LTCC technology shall be incorporated into the microwave ceramic body of a duplexer in such a way that the total overall height of the duplexer is not increased. To do so, the height of the ceramic body in the range of the RX filter is reduced to an area corresponding to the size of the LTCC balun. A compact component is thus obtained with no change in the properties of the Tx filter; this component can supply a symmetrical output signal without any increase in volume for the RX path.

  • Publication number: 20050116795
Abstract: In a microwave ceramic filter having a ceramic base body with metallized bores and an exterior metallization that is closed all over with the exception of the end face, metallic structures in the form of metallized recesses in the end face are formed on the non-metallized end face. These can be inserted as coupling structures and decoupling structures. The capacitance can be simply adjusted via the depth of the recesses. The size and the position of the contact surfaces for these coupling structures can be independently created on an exterior surface of the ceramic body.

  • Publication number: 20040203260
Abstract: The invention relates to a component arrangement in which an electric component (5) is lowered into an indentation (4) of a circuit board (1) and in which the electric component (5) is attached to an auxiliary circuit board (6), which is connected in turn to the circuit board (1). By lowering the electric component (5) in the indentation (4) of the circuit board (1), the component remainder (U) can be reduced advantageously.

  • Patent number: 6696904
Abstract: A duplexer/diplexer comprising at least a transmission branch and a reception branch. The transmission branch and the reception branch are modularly connected by shielding, and are arranged such that the two branches are matched to an identical value of resistance (50 Ohms) in their passband, and offer broadband high-impedance in the stopband of the band neighboring the passband. As a result, all three ports of the duplexer/diplexer are matched to the same value of resistance given parallel connection of the two branches.

  • Patent number: 6552633
Abstract: The invention relates to a ceramic microwave filter having an insertion loss characteristic curve with an improved steepness. At least two resonators are provided in a one-piece ceramic body and coupling structures are assigned to the resonators for capacitively coupling the ceramic filter to an external RF circuit. At least one counter-oscillator is led in parallel with the resonators in the ceramic body.
