  • Patent number: 6001947
Abstract: The present invention relates to a coating composition comprising(A) at least one hydroxyl-containing polyacrylate resin,(B) at least one isocyanate crosslinking agent and, if desired,(C) at least one hydroxyl-containing polyester-modified polyacrylate resin, wherein the polyacrylate resin (A) is obtainable by polymerizing(a1) at least one essentially carboxyl-free (meth)acrylic ester,(a2) at least one copolymerizable, hydroxyl-containing monomer which is different from (a3)(a3) at least one reaction product of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid with the glycidyl ester of an .alpha.-branched monocarboxylic acid having 5 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule,(a4) if desired, an [sic] at least one carboxyl-containing monomer,(a5) at least one polysiloxane macromonomer having a number-average molecular weight of from 1000 to 40,000 and on average from 0.5 to 2.5 ethylenically unsaturated double bonds per molecule or having on average from 0.5 to 2.

  • Patent number: 5759630
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the production of textured coatings on plastics surfaces using coating compositions based on hydroxyl group-containing binders and polyisocyanates, and using pulverulent texturing agents.

  • Patent number: 4525570
Abstract: In heat-setting mixtures which have a long shelf life at room temperature and comprise a polyisocyanate and one or more compounds which are reactive toward isocyanate groups, the polyisocyanate is present, in the form of discrete particles, in a saturated or unsaturated amino-, hydrazide-, mercaptan- and/or carboxyl-containing polymer, polycondensate or polyadduct which has a functionality of more than 1 and some of which can be replaced by a polyol, and the polyisocyanate particles are deactivated at their surface so that from 0.01 to 20 equivalent percent of the total amount of isocyanate groups present is deactivated. These mixtures are useful as coating compositions, adhesives and sealant materials, particularly as undersealants for motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4482664
Abstract: Dispersions of finely divided synthetic resins in plasticizers, optionally with pigments, fillers and further auxiliaries, contain 0.01 to 30% by weight, relative to the total weight of synthetic resin and plasticizer, of an isocyanate-free reaction product of a monoamine, if appropriate combined with a polyamine compound, with a monoisocyanate and/or polyisocyanate or a polyamine compound with a monoisocyanate, if appropriate combined with a polyisocyanate.
