  • Patent number: 8368304
Abstract: In various embodiments, a discharge lamp may include a lamp vessel that includes a discharge vessel enclosing a discharge medium and two lamp shafts each extending coaxially at opposite ends of the discharge vessel, two outer power-feed sections each extending to the outside from one of the lamp shafts, two electrodes each consisting of an electrode rod and electrode head, with the electrode rods being arranged along the lamp shafts such that the two electrode heads are located mutually opposite inside the discharge vessel, a sealed section in each of the two lamp shafts by which a gas-tight electricity passage is formed between the two outer power-feed sections on the one hand and the two electrodes on the other, a narrow section in each of the two lamp shafts that is arranged between the respective sealed section and the electrode head of the associated electrode, with the narrow section closely surrounding the electrode rod, and a damping/guiding element arranged between the narrow section of a lamp shaft
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 5, 2013
    Assignee: OSRAM AG
Inventors: Swen-Uwe Baacke, Bernhard Ruhland, Wolfgang Seitz, Christian Wider
  • Patent number: 8329932
Abstract: Organosilicon compounds bearing silicon-bonded organyloxy groups are prepared by mixing and reacting silanol-functional organosilicon compounds with organosilicon compounds containing at least two organyloxy groups in a mixer with an energy input of at least 0.2 kW/Kg of mixture. At this level of energy input, reaction to form the organyloxy-functional product is rapid, and can be achieved without supplying external heat, and also without catalysts, if desired.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 16, 2008
Date of Patent: December 11, 2012
    Assignee: Wacker Chemie AG
Inventors: Peter Schoeley, Bernhard Ruhland, Uwe Scheim

  • Patent number: 7045938
Abstract: The invention relates to a reflector lamp and to a method for producing such a reflector lamp, especially a simplified method for fixing the lamp (2) in the reflector (1). The gasket (22) of the lamp base (21) is disposed in the cavity (13) of the reflector neck (12) in such a manner that the at least one power lead (71, 72) projects from the reflector neck (12) through a passage and the lamp base (21) is supported on the inner wall (13) of the reflector (1) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A). A fastening element (81, 82) is fastened on the power lead (71, 72) at an angle to the longitudinal axis (A) and rests against the outer wall of the reflector neck (12). The lamp (2) is thus fixated in the reflector (1) in the longitudinal direction (A) without play and without any additional spring elements.
