Publication number: 20260077380Abstract: A device for conveying viscous material to an applicator has a conveying cylinder in which a double-acting conveying piston is movable to and fro. The conveying cylinder has first and second chambers separated from one another by the conveying piston. Each chamber has a material inlet and outlet. A conveying device is connected to the material inlets for the pressurized introduction of viscous material into the conveying cylinder chambers, and a valve device closes and opens the material inlets and outlets. In a first switching position, the valve device opens the first chamber material inlet and the second chamber material outlet and closes the second chamber material inlet and the first chamber material outlet and, in a second switching position, releases the second chamber material inlet and the first chamber material outlet and closes the first chamber material inlet and the second chamber material outlet.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2023Publication date: March 19, 2026Applicant: Atlas Copco IAS GmbHInventors: Bastian ROTH, Sten MITTAG, Bernhard SAUER

Patent number: 12263503Abstract: A metering valve for viscous materials has a housing, a material channel extending in the housing and opening into material outlet openings, and a number of valve pins, which are movably mounted in the housing, the number corresponding to the number of material outlet openings, wherein a valve seat is associated with each valve pin and each valve pin is movable between a closed position, in which it sits on the valve seat associated with it and closes one of the material outlet openings, and an open position, in which the material outlet opening concerned is exposed. The valve pins are produced from carbide and are guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner through feed-through openings in a guide block arranged at a distance from the valve seats, wherein the guide block is produced from carbide, at least on the inner surfaces of the feed-through openings facing the valve pins.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2019Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Atlas Copco IAS GmbHInventors: Sten Mittag, Bernhard Sauer

Patent number: 12257596Abstract: An application nozzle for applying a viscous material to workpieces includes a nozzle body and an application duct for the viscous material, the duct extending inside the nozzle body from a material inlet opening to a material outlet opening. At least one filler element is located in the application duct, which filler element constricts the cross-section of the application duct and extends from a first end remote from the material inlet opening to a second end at the material outlet opening.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2019Date of Patent: March 25, 2025Assignee: Atlas Copco IAS GmbHInventors: Erich Lehner, Bernhard Sauer, Tobias Rosenauer, Christian Kammerer

Patent number: 12152679Abstract: In a method for assembling a needle valve having a housing, at least one valve needle longitudinally displaceably guided in the housing in a first spatial direction, and at least one valve seat plate, the plate for each needle has a valve seat associated with the needle, at which seat an outlet opening for a fluid can be closed and opened by back and forth movement of the relevant needle. In a first step the plate is fastened to the housing by a fastener such that it has limited movement with respect to the housing. In a second step each needle is set into a back and forth movement in which it is alternatingly placed onto and lifted up from the associated seat. In a third step the plate is fixed on the housing while the at least one needle moves back and forth.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2021Date of Patent: November 26, 2024Assignee: Atlas Copco IAS GmbHInventors: Sten Mittag, Bernhard Sauer
