  • Publication number: 20240117998
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a device for heating a medium and air. A heating source generates thermal energy by the combustion of a fuel-air-mixture. A heat exchanger serves to heat air passed along an exterior side, has an interior space into which flue gas generated during combustion of the fuel-air-mixture flows, has a fin structure on the exterior side, and transmits thermal energy to the medium pipe. The electric heating element generates thermal energy, the heat exchanger having integral structures for accommodating the electric heating element and the medium pipe. The medium pipe and the electric heating element are guided around the interior space of the heat exchanger.

  • Publication number: 20240102706
Abstract: A Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system that is configured to receive a refrigerant from a condenser at a fixed expansion device and a variable expansion device. The system is further configured to output a first portion of the refrigerant to a first downstream HVAC component at a fixed flow rate using the fixed expansion device. The system is further configured to apply a first force to a pin of the variable expansion device based on a sensed temperature. The system is further configured to apply a second force to a valve of the variable expansion device via the force applied to the pin and to output a second portion of the refrigerant to a second downstream HVAC component at a variable flow rate based on the second force using the valve of the variable expansion device.

  • Publication number: 20240102569
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gas-conducting device having a safety device for interrupting a gas flow in the device. In a resting state, an inertia body is located on a resting place of a housing bottom so that a plunger rests on it. In an activation state, the inertia body moves out of the resting place, the plunger moves toward the housing bottom, and the safety device interrupts the gas flow. The present disclosure provides in that the housing bottom includes at least one guiding structure and that in the activation state the guiding structure guides the inertia body to a deflection point, in that the guiding structure is designed essentially in the shape of a section of a jacket of a cylinder, and in that a longitudinal axis of the cylinder is offset in relation to a vertical axis which is perpendicular to a center point and/or a lowest point of the resting place.

  • Patent number: 4627603
Abstract: A clamping device which is arranged to clamp a workpiece to a table or stand, and which does not obstruct the clamping region of the table or stand, has a fluid pressure-loaded clamping piston slidably mounted in a main housing with toggle levers on either side thereof bearing against oppositely situated saddle bearings at the sides of the housing. The toggle levers are moved by the clamping piston between an inclined position and an extended position and load a clamping or pulling anchor which is mounted on the housing. The clamping or pulling anchor is pivotally mounted on a clamping lever so that it can swing through a maximum of 180.degree. from a clamping position into a release position in which it is well clear of the workpiece. The anchor is fitted onto a bearing pin, which is disposed in an end, which projects from the housing, of the clamping lever which is pivotally mounted in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4565357
Abstract: A quick-acting clamping device for clamping tools or workpieces in machine tools comprises a piston which is slidable transversely to the clamping direction and which acts on a toggle mechanism which in turn moves a clamping piece. A pressure plate upon which the toggle mechanism acts is displaceable in the clamping direction in a housing which contains the transverse piston. The fluid under pressure which acts on the transverse piston to activate the toggle mechanism also acts directly on the pressure plate to assist in clamping. Because of the assisting force produced by the pressure plate it is possible for the transverse piston to move the members of the toggle mechanism from starting positions in which they lie at large angles to the clamping direction, that is with a big angular displacement from their dead-center position, in which they initially exert only a small force on the clamping piece.
