  • Patent number: 10454335
Abstract: A motor housing for an electric motor has a generally cylindrical housing shell (10), which, at one end (26), accommodates a first bearing and a housing cover module (12) such that the housing cover module (12) closes an opposing, open end of the housing shell (10), and serves as a second bearing. The cover module (12) is preferably of metal material and is integrally formed with a plurality of projecting tab and/or arm portions (14, 16, 18). Around the housing shell (10), several recesses or slots (20) are formed, flanked by deformable elements (30,32). By axially applying a tool (60), the deformable elements are deformed to secure the tabs (14, 16, 18) within the slots (20) and to thereby connect the shell (10) and the cover module (12) axially together. The resulting structure is highly resistant to vibrational decoupling, and can readily be obtained by high-speed automated production steps.

  • Patent number: 7140547
Abstract: A portable data storage configuration has a card base and a display device, the display device being fixed to the card base. The display device is only partially connected to the card base by the fixed connection. This mounting technique results in that almost no lateral or shear forces act on the display device.

  • Patent number: 6227754
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite body which is assembled from at least two bodies. The first body is made of a first material and the second body of a second material and each of the two bodies has at least one joining surface. The joining surfaces lie opposite each other and the bodies are joined to each other by at least one adhesive connection. At least one recess for a compensating body made of a third material is introduced into at least one of the two joining surfaces. This compensating body is connected with at least one adhesive location or gluing gap to both bodies. An adhesive ensures an adhesive connection between the compensating body and the two bodies at the adhesive location.

  • Patent number: 6111691
Abstract: A structure includes a cover body having a plate-like shape and a support body of open light-weight structure composed of struts, connecting nodes and support points. Attachment locations are spatially separated one from the other and the cover body and the support body are bonded at these locations.

  • Patent number: 6099193
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite body which is assembled of at least two bodies. The first body is made of a first material and the second body is made of a second material. Each of the two bodies has at least one connecting surface and these connecting surfaces are mutually adjacent. The two connecting bodies are wrung upon each other on at least one connecting surface. The two connecting surfaces are connected to each other by wringing and on at least one of these two surfaces, one or more recesses are provided for an adhesive location or an adhesive gap. An adhesive ensures an additional adhesive connection of the two connecting surfaces at the adhesive location between the two bodies. These recesses of the adhesive locations lie at least essentially in the wringing surface.
