    Abstract: To provide a hydraulic master cylinder with inlet ports and outlet ports arranged in an angle to each other wherein the outlet ports can be on either side of the housing without the need of two different casts, the master cylinder according to the invention is equipped with either two sets of protrusions adapted to be machined into inlet ports or two sets of protrusions adapted to be machined into outlet ports. The two sets of identical protrusions are arranged symmetrically with respect to the one set of different protrusions. Thus, depending on the desired side of the outlet ports, only one set of the two sets of identical protrusions is machined while the other set remains an unmachined accumulation of material.

    Abstract: A fault controller for a brake system includes a control display having a plurality of identifying labels displayed thereon corresponding to predetermined brake system fault mode options. A plurality of switches corresponding to the identifying labels and selectively setable to activate and deactivate conditions are on the control display. Fluid control valves are disposed along brake lines between the master cylinder and the wheel brakes. There are electrical connections between the switches and fluid control valves wherein setting one of the switches to the activate condition activates a corresponding fault mode of the brake system. An enable switch on the controller, if included, must be set to an "enable" condition for the fault controller to affect brake operation.

    Abstract: A slanted brake rotor for use in a disc brake assembly includes a flange portion for mounting a wheel wherein the wheel includes an axis of rotation associated therewith, a cylindrical, axially oriented barrel portion extending from said flange, and an annular member extending from the barrel portion. The annular member includes a central axis and two opposing friction faces for engaging a respective friction element during braking. The annular member is slanted or angled from the conventional upright position so that the central axis of the annular member forms an acute angle with the wheel axis of rotation. Each face of the annular member has a free first end, and a respective second end positioned radially inwardly of the first free end, taken with respect to the wheel axis of rotation. Each face is substantially planar between the free first end and the second end. Further, each friction face is substantially parallel to the central axis.
