  • Patent number: 10863957
Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed for controlling a scanning region of a medical imaging system for subsequent recording of a region of interest of an examination object. Depth image data of the examination object are captured. 2-D image data of at least one 2-D image of the examination object are created and the 2-D image is displayed. The 2-D image data and the depth image data of the examination object are registered to each other at least in some regions. By using the 2-D image, at least one limit position of the scanning region is then determined. Finally, on the basis of the depth image data and the limit position in the 2-D image of the examination object, a limit contour line extending through the limit position is determined and displayed such that the limit contour line is superimposed on the 2-D image of the examination object.

  • Publication number: 20070124112
Abstract: A method and computer system are provided for determining the performance of a computer system by determining at least one current performance value of the computer system in a current configuration. Processes being executed on the computer system during measurement of the performance value are determined. A comparison is made between the at least one current performance value and at least one reference value. In one example, the computer system includes a control computer and a medical assessment computer that are associated with at least one medical imaging system. The reference value may either be determined previously or it is determined in a method step by determining the performance value of the computer system in an original configuration.

  • Patent number: 7079140
Abstract: A diagnostic device has a modality for generating raw data representing contents of a volume, a computer for calculating three-dimensional medical images from the raw data, an image system, an input device for setting a transfer function required for an algorithm and a display device for the medical images. The image system determines a histogram distribution of the gray-scale values, and the image system inserts user interface graphics into the displayed image which shows the histogram distribution of the gray-scale values in a histogram window and symbolically represents a trapezoidal transfer function on which values characterizing input fields for transfer functions are arranged at the associated points. A transfer function is on the basis of entries in the input fields and the selected transfer function is inserted in the histogram distribution of the gray-scale values.
