  • Patent number: 7722073
Abstract: A new and improved trailer coupler which is spring loaded, and connected to the hitch ball of a towing vehicle is provided. Moreover, the new and improved trailer coupler has a latch activated from the top of the trailer coupler that is connected to a means for grasping and securing the hitch ball on a tow vehicle such that the trailer coupler does not unhitch from the ball of the tow vehicle. Further, the present invention provides a new and improved trailer coupler having a latch apparatus that facilitates engagement and disengagement of the trailer coupler to the hitch ball of the tow vehicle wherein the latch apparatus has a secondary locking mechanism in the form of a locking pin wherein the locking pin is placed in a position within the latch apparatus wherein the locking pin penetrates an opening within the latch such that the latch apparatus may not be manually or accidentally unlatched without prior removal of the locking pin.

  • Publication number: 20080093182
Abstract: The installation of hydraulic brake lines on trailers can be simplified by using flexible hose sections and a custom three-way coupling adapted to fit in the tight space constraints around a hydraulic fluid port on a brake assembly. The custom three-way coupling has a first fitting for connecting to the hydraulic fluid port the brake assembly, a second fitting for connecting to a flexible tubing section, and a third fitting for connecting to a flexible tubing section. For a single axle trailer or a tandem axle trailer, the hydraulic fluid port on each brake assembly are connected in series using flexible hose sections between the custom three-way couplings. The third fitting on the final custom three-way coupling is capped off at the last brake assembly to be connected.

  • Patent number: 7270345
Abstract: The assembly incorporates two plates. There are annular protrusions on one plate and a matching annular groove on the other. A central bolt and washer holds the plates in engagement while permitting rotation of one plate relative to the other. The cooperating annular grooves and protrusions transfer loads between plates. Ninety degrees of rotation causes the jack assembly to rotate from the vertical stowed position to the horizontal towed position.

  • Publication number: 20050162000
Abstract: A cover assembly is provided for a wheel hub, which includes a coupler and a cap. The coupler has a forward segment with a coupler forward opening and a coupler rearward segment with a coupler rearward opening. The cap has a cap opening, a cap barrel, and a cap end plate. The coupler rearward segment is configured for connection to a wheel hub, while the cap is configured for connection to the coupler forward segment and for selectively removable coverage of the coupler forward opening. The cap barrel has a first threaded surface and the coupler forward segment has a second threaded surface, which are selectively engagable to enable threadable connection of the cap to the coupler forward segment. The coupler rearward segment has a smooth engagement surface capable of press fitting connection to the wheel hub.
