  • Publication number: 20050269058
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger plate (3), a plate heat exchanger with a plate package of heat exchanger plates and a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger plate. The heat exchanger plate includes a heat transfer area (20) and a border area (22), which is located outside the heat transfer area and which extends along and delimits the heat transfer area. A curable polymer material is applied to the border area in such a way that it extends along the whole or parts of the border area. The polymer material forms after curing a gasket (30) for tight abutment against an adjacent plate in the plate heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 5860470
Abstract: The present invention refers to a plate heat exchanger (1) comprising a frame (2) with two end plates (3,4) and between them a package (5) of heat transfer plates (6) with intermediate gaskets, which delimit flow spaces for at least two heat transfer fluids, and a cover (8) extending round said package (5). The cover (8) abuts closely towards the end plates (3,4) and is arranged on distance from said package (5) so that a sealed space towards the surrounding atmosphere is created between the cover (8) and said package (5).

  • Patent number: 4872506
Abstract: A gasket for a plate heat exchanger has a strip of metal fastened to one heat exchanger plate and bridging at least 50% but not the entire distance between that plate and an adjacent plate, and a layer of a material of lesser hardness than the metal attached to the metal strip and bridging the remaining distance between the plates.
