  • Patent number: 8614740
Abstract: A device for inspecting a tire (10), in particular by means of an interferometric measuring method, is provided with a measuring head, which is used to scan the tire in order to produce a measured result. The device is also equipped with a location element, which allows the measuring head to be located and aligned in a monitoring position. In addition, the device is provided with a control and display unit, which allows the location element to be controlled and the measured result to be displayed. To achieve the simple control of the measuring head and a reliable evaluation of the measured result, the control and display unit has at least one display field for displaying the monitoring position or the monitoring direction of the measuring head in relation to the tire.

  • Patent number: 7856869
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for checking a tire, (6, 9), in particular, by means of an interferometric measuring method, wherein at least one first measuring probe (2) and a second measuring probe (3) are provided by means of which the tires (6, 9) can be scanned to give a measurement result. The device is further provided with a positioning means (4, 5, 7, 8), by means of which the first measuring probe (2) and the second measuring probe (3) may be displaced between a park position outside the tire (6, 9) and an observation position within the tire (6, 9). According to the invention, tires (6, 9) with a comparatively small rim diameter (d6, d9) may be checked by means of the first measuring probe (2) and the second measuring probe (3) being independently positionable in the park position or the observation position using the positioning means (4, 5, 7, 8).

  • Publication number: 20090244261
Abstract: Light sectioning or fringe projection methods are used to measure the surface of objects (2). According to said methods, the object (2) is moved past a measuring system (4) and the measured data is recorded during this movement. These methods can only be used for a high-resolution, comprehensive measurement of the surface if the object (2) is moved sufficiently slowly, in relation to the scanning rate of the measuring system (4), past said measuring system (4). To achieve a comprehensive measurement of the object surface, even when the object (2) performs a relatively fast movement, in particular a rotational movement, the object (2) is repeatedly moved past the measuring system (4) and measured. The use of a trigger device for recording the measured values permits the data obtained in the individual passes to be correlated in a three-dimensionally correct manner in relation to one another and the surface of the object to be measured with high resolution.
