Publication number: 20090272209Abstract: A transmission arrangement for translating a reciprocating translation movement, related to each of two gear rods, is disclosed. A first gear rod and its associated first gear wheel represent a first prime motor arrangement, while a second gear rod and its associated second gear wheel represent a second prime motor arrangement. A gear wheel arrangement, is adapted to expose a first bevel gear wheel in cooperation with said first gear wheel, and a second bevel gear wheel in cooperation with said second gear wheel, with a third bevel gear wheel, which allows these first and second bevel gear wheels to rotate in different directions. Said first bevel gear wheel and its associated first gear wheel, and said second bevel gear wheel and its associated second gear wheel, are pivotally supported by said shaft in a first pivotal direction and fixedly supported by said shaft in a second pivotal direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2006Publication date: November 5, 2009Inventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 6349605Abstract: An axial-to-rotary motor includes a double acting pneumatic motor of piston-cylinder type. An endless drive belt extends over a first pulley, which is fixed mounted in relation to the pneumatic motor, and over a second pulley mounted spaced from the piston rod. The motor further includes one or more output shafts arranged for being continuously rotated. The piston rod end of the pneumatic axial motor is connected to a yoke which, with the outer frames thereof, encloses the two paths of the drive belt, and which encloses a ratchet device which provides a drive force against one of the drive belt paths at the active expelling stroke of the piston rod. The yoke also provides a drive force against the second drive belt path at the retraction stroke of the piston rod, whereby the drive belt will move in one and the same direction at both piston movement directions.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2000Date of Patent: February 26, 2002Assignee: Pos-Line ABInventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 6279315Abstract: A pneumatic unlocking and closing apparatus for doors has a soft braking phase at each end position. The apparatus includes a pneumatic piston-cylinder unit having a working chamber acting on a large piston area and a return chamber acting on a piston area which is reduced by the piston rod. The apparatus is operated by a substantially closed pressure actuation system having a compressed air pump creating both a working pressure in the working chamber and a less high counter pressure in the return chamber. The pressure system includes a first or plus tank having a certain predetermined high pressure to act as the working pressure in the working chamber for expelling the piston during the ordinary working stroke thereof; and a second or minus tank into which the air of the working chamber is evacuated when the piston is to be returned to its fully retracted position.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1998Date of Patent: August 28, 2001Assignee: Safe Net i Harads ABInventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 6202536Abstract: In a pneumatic reciprocating actuator of the kind comprising a cylinder which defines a forward-motion chamber and a return-motion chamber, and a piston which is reciprocal in the cylinder and separates the forward-motion chamber and the return-motion chamber, a start stroke forwardly is initiated by admission of gaseous operating fluid from an inlet port in to the foreword-motion chamber with both the forward-motion chamber and the return-motion chamber initially at zero pressure. The operating fluid is also passed from the inlet port into the return-motion chamber during the start stroke until a back pressure of a predetermined magnitude has been produced in the return-motion chamber. Then the return-motion chamber is automatically closed by a pressure control valve unit, whereby the return-motion chamber will form a cushioning chamber for cushioning the movement of the piston in the forward direction, thereby preventing piston over speeding during the start stroke.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1999Date of Patent: March 20, 2001Assignee: Pos-Line ABInventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 6129001Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling the function of all kinds of reciprocable power machines which are actuated by pneumatic, hydraulic of any other pressure fluid, irrespective if the machines are of rotary or axially operating type, in which the active power stroke is accomplished using full power of pressure fluid against a reciprocatable piston (2) in the active air pressure chamber (10, 12), and in which the reversing of the direction of operation is made by alternatingly supplying pressure fluid to the opposite air pressure chamber (12, 10) of the machine. A valve poppet (6) having several channels alternately places one of the pressure chambers (10, 12) of the reciprocatable fluid actuated machine (1, 2) under full pressure, builds up a certain counter pressure in a pressure chamber which is, at the actual moment, inactive, and evacuates the pressure from an inactive pressure chamber of the fluid actuated machine.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1998Date of Patent: October 10, 2000Assignee: Pos-Line ABInventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 6073441Abstract: A pneumatic piston-cylinder apparatus of single acting type which performs a working stroke in one working direction, and is returned to its initial position without any external supply of compressed air comprising a cylinder part with cylinder jacket (1), a front end (2), a rear end (3), and a piston (5) which is reciprocatable in the cylinder. Connected to the rear end (3) is a supply of compressed air and within the cylinder is a return channel (10) used for draining the air on the unloading side of the piston.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 1998Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Assignee: Pos-Line ABInventor: Bert Harju

Patent number: 5735187Abstract: A pneumatic piston-cylinder unit has a cylinder (1) in which an air piston (4) with a tubular piston rod (5) is reciprocably actuated by compressed air from two main air channels (18, 19). The air cylinder (1) includes an integrated hydraulic control system (6) having an actuation device (8) which is fixedly mounted in the air cylinder (1) for creating a flow of hydraulic fluid through hydraulic control system (6) when compressed air is present in the main air channels (18, 19) and for stopping the flow of hydraulic fluid and thereby preventing the air piston from moving when there is no compressed air in the main channels (18, 19). A piston (34) and a cylinder (28) of the hydraulic control system (6) are displaceable an adjustably long distance in relation to each other to make it possible to open and close, respectively, a larger or smaller hydraulic fluid passageway thereby controlling the moving speed of the air piston (4) while maintaining the air pressure.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1995Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Pos-Line AktiebolagInventor: Bert Harju
