  • Patent number: 10921108
Abstract: In a method for monitoring a magnetic bearing device for an electric rotating machine, a first pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors and a second pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors are arranged in offset relation about an angle. A distance is determined between each of the sensors and a body of rotation arranged inside the first and second pairs of sensors. A first average distance is determined from distance values of the first pair of sensors and a second average distance is determined from distance values of the second pair of sensors. A first change in the first average distance is captured and a second change in the second average distance is captured. The first and second changes are compared and a warning signal is outputted when a difference between the first and second changes exceeds a limit value.

  • Publication number: 20190277337
Abstract: An active magnetic bearing of a shaft, which shaft can be rotated about an axis, includes a magnetically conductive main body, which is arranged in a stationary manner and which surrounds the shaft. Partial bodies are arranged one behind the other axially at an axial distance between adjacent partial bodies and form the magnetically conductive main body. A winding system is arranged in grooves of the magnetically conductive main body.

  • Publication number: 20190219482
Abstract: In a method for monitoring a magnetic bearing apparatus a first pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors and a second pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors are arranged in offset relation about an angle. A distance of each of the sensors from a rotating body arranged inside the first and second pairs of sensors is determined by temporal averaging of a plurality of distance measurements. The distances of the sensors from the rotating body are compared and a warning signal is outputted when a difference in the distances exceeds a limit value.

  • Patent number: 7710890
Abstract: A method for detecting a signal propagation time between a mobile radio terminal and a base station in a mobile radio network in a mobile radio terminal, particularly for the purpose of localizing the mobile radio terminal which inserts a propagation time detection information item into a channel request message in order to signal to the base station that no channel reservation is necessary, and that only the propagation time detection needs to be carried out, so as to achieve significantly reduced loading of network resources.

  • Patent number: 6937888
Abstract: A signal evaluation method for detecting QRS complexes in electrocardiogram (ECG) signals comprises the following steps: sampling of the ECG signal (4) and conversion into discrete signal values (x(n)) in chronological order; comparing the signal values (xf(n), xfq(n)) to a threshold function (K(n)) adaptively determined therefrom; determining a frequency number (D(n)) within a defined segment of the consecutive signal values, by which signal values (xf(n), xfq(n)) preferably fall short of the threshold function (K(n)); comparing the determined frequency number (D(n)) to a defined threshold (?), wherein an undershoot of the threshold (?) is significant for apresence of a QRS complex (5, 6, 7) in the defined segment of the ECG signal (4).

  • Patent number: 6625484
Abstract: A signal evaluation method for detecting QRS complexes in electrocardiogram signals incorporates the following process steps: sampling of the signal (4) and conversion to discrete signal values (x(n)) in chronological order, determining the sign of each signal value (x(n)), continuous checking of the signs of consecutive signal values (x(n)) for the presence of a zero crossing between two consecutive signal values (x(n)), determining the number (D(n)) of zero crossings in a defined segment (N) of the consecutive signal values (x(n)), and comparing the determined number of zero crossings (D(n)) to a defined threshold value, wherein an undershoot of the threshold value signifying the presence of a QRS complex (5, 6, 7) in the defined segment of the signal curve (4).
