  • Patent number: 5069363
Abstract: A compressed gas container for spraying liquid from an essentially pressureless, compressable product receptacle which is enclosed by an elastically prestressed hollow cylinder made of elastomeric material. The hollow cylinder is able to expand in one direction only and is acted upon by a pressurized gas provided in a clearance space between the product receptacle and the hollow cylinder. The clearance space is hermetically sealed to the outside and is filled, while the product receptacle is empty, with the pressurized gas having a pressure of approximately P.sub.min. The liquid to be sprayed is fed into the product receptacle in such an amount that the gas contained in the free space reaches a pressure of approximately P.sub.max. The pressure of the gas in the free space varies, as a function of the amount of product in the product receptacle, between the minimum pressure P.sub.min and the maximum pressure P.sub.max.

  • Patent number: 4168335
Abstract: A matting is disclosed for reinforcing underwater terrains. The matting is made of sections of looped intersecting synthetic polymer filaments bonded to one another at their points of intersection, at least one section being temporarily buoyant in water. The matting disclosed may be towed into position and then submerged.

  • Patent number: 4019326
Abstract: A horizontal soil drainage system consisting of a nonwoven three-dimensional mat of a plurality of looped, intersecting and substantially amorphous filaments of melt-spun synthetic polymers bonded together at their intersections, at least one of the outer surfaces of said mat having a lower cross-sectional porosity than the center zone of said mat.

  • Patent number: 3934421
Abstract: A matting comprised of a plurality of continuous amorphous synthetic thermoplastic filaments having an equivalent diameter of about 0.1 to 2.0 millimeters is disclosed to be used for the ground stabilization of road beds. The filaments comprising the matting are arranged in a number of superimposed contacting rows with an overlapping intersection of the loops of adjacent filaments in at least the same row with superficial bonding of the filaments at their points of intersection.
