  • Patent number: 6676585
Abstract: An arrangement for manufacturing a paper can includes processing stations arranged one behind the other along two star-shaped wheels. Packaging material from supply stores is fed to each star-shaped wheel. The two star-shaped wheels and the processing stations arranged thereto are disposed on the same machine frame. The packaging material for both star-shaped wheels are fed from a joint material supply station. Thereby, a compact construction and reduced operational procedure are achieved.

  • Patent number: 6165114
Abstract: A container comprises a sleeve and two end walls. The sleeve is made of a tube having a plurality of paper layers. The end walls are inserted into the sleeve and are bonded in a sealed way thereto. According to the present invention, each of the end walls has a rim which projects outwards, around which rim the tube is bent and bonded by means of heat sealing. A stable, sealed bonding is thus obtained, whereby the application of different materials for the end walls is possible.

  • Patent number: 6109518
Abstract: A heat-insulating cup comprises an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve. The latter is supported against an upper and a lower area of the inner sleeve. An annular space is located between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve, which annular space is free of any additional elements. A joint bottom is arranged to the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. In the upper area, the inner sleeve has a sudden widening, on top of which the outer sleeve is disposed.

  • Patent number: 5887743
Abstract: A container comprises an opening whose cut edge is covered by a protective covering layer. The protective covering layer is formed to have a tube-shaped area in which a plane area is joined to both ends. The tube-shaped area covers the cut edge of the opening. One plane area adheres to the container inner surface, and the other plane area adheres to the container outer surface. The protective covering layer is made from a single foil piece which is applied to the container wall comprising the opening and thereafter shaped into its form. At least one of the plane areas is thus formed and adhered to the container wall.

  • Patent number: 5871430
Abstract: A machine for producing containers comprises processing stations with components adaptable to the shape and size of the material sections used for the container. In the case of a change in form, in particular a change in the format of the sections of material to be used, it is necessary to change the relevant adaptable components. Instead of the conventional approach where the new components must be fine-tuned after an exchange has taken place, fitting surfaces are provided at the processing stations, against which a section of the adaptable components can always be placed in the same position. Therefore, time-consuming installation of exchangeable machine components is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5669523
Abstract: A container comprises a tube-shaped container body which can be closed by a bottom and a lid. The container body has supporting surfaces which allow the containers to be stacked in a closed state. To improve the stability of a stack of containers, the supporting surfaces are so arranged that when stacked, a container body projects partly into the next container body.

  • Patent number: 5620135
Abstract: A container is formed from at least one sheet-shaped segment made of paper and the like. The edges of the container which come into contact with the contents of the container are provided with a protective covering covering the surfaces bordering those edges of the segment as well as those of the wall of the container formed by the segment. The area of the segment to be covered by the protective covering is less thick, so that the thickness of the segment including the protective covering remains constant overall. The area with a reduced thickness is made by compressing the material of the segment. A segment provided with a protective covering and having a constant thickness can thereby be produced simply and cost-effectively.

  • Patent number: 5547124
Abstract: A heat insulating container has an inner container body and a sleeve. The sleeve is attached to the circumferential wall of the inner container body by attaching surfaces, and has cut edges extending transversely to the circumferential direction. The attaching surfaces are only arranged extending transversely to the circumferential direction. A simplified application of the sleeve to the circumferential wall of the inner container is thereby made possible and less material and working time are required for production.

  • Patent number: 4786211
Abstract: Cavities in mining are filled by introducing a mixture consisting of a slurry or sludge which evolves CO.sub.2, foams and solidifies and predominantly comprises alpha-hemihydrate, alpha-CaSO.sub.4. 0.5 H.sub.2 O, an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal carbonate and water, by a method in which the mixture is mixed with a bisulfate-containing aqueous solution or suspension of one or more metals before being introduced into the cavities to be filled.
