  • Patent number: 7943012
Abstract: A device for protecting a spraying equipment and surroundings in a paper or board machine, for applying a treatment medium onto a moving surface, comprises a protecting cover forming a single chamber having the spraying equipment located therein and which is open towards the moving surface in connection with an application zone. Two wall elements of the protecting cover extend in the cross-machine direction on either side of the application zone, and define machine-wide gaps with the moving surface. The protecting cover includes a sealing arrangement arranged in connection with the gaps to control and restrict passage of air and contaminants through the gaps; a system for a controlled supply of capture air for capturing contaminants within the space; and an evacuating system for a controlled, continuous evacuation of the capture air with contaminants from the chamber. An associated method of using such a device is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080135196
Abstract: A device for protecting a spraying equipment (8) and its surroundings in a paper or board machine, for applying a treatment medium onto a moving surface (3), comprises a protecting cover (11) having a space (12), which forms a single chamber in which the spraying equipment is located and which is open towards the moving surface in connection with an application zone, and two wall elements (13, 14) which extend cross to the machine direction on either side of the application zone, and define machine-wide gaps (24; 40 and 25; 26; 41, respectively) between themselves and the moving surface.

  • Patent number: 6616375
Abstract: An arrangement is provided in a drain water system having a main drain conduit which is designed as a closed ring conduit (19), and pump members (17, 18) are arranged to pump drain media emanating from different buildings (6) to and into the ring conduit for transport therein through pumping action. Devices (27-31) for taking care of drain media are connected to the ring conduit through a branch (12, 13) each. Valve members (24, 25, 32) are arranged in each connection to the ring conduit and optionally controllable so as to either open in the case of a feed connection and allow pumping of drain media into the ring conduit and in the case of a device connection allow drainage of drain media from the ring conduit, or close to stop drain media from flowing into or out of the ring conduit.

  • Patent number: 6261443
Abstract: A drain water system includes a plurality of containers (7-9) within a building 1 for receiving respective drain waters differing in degree of contamination. A plurality of building 1 having such containers share a main drain water conduit leads to at least two stations (13-15) for receiving the respective drain waterd of differing degrees of contamination. Adjusting apparatuses (including, for example, pumps 17) sequentially discharge the containers depending upon their degree of drain water contamination. During a certain time period, drain waters of the same degree of contamination will be discharged into the main drain conduit and will then flow to a specific station.

  • Patent number: 6185758
Abstract: A device in draining gutters comprises a gutter member (11) adapted to be imbedded in a hole in a floor in relation to the surrounding floor, connectable to a conduit (6) for draining water, said member being adapted to receive water, and an arrangement for sealing the floor covering (8) in relation to the gutter member, for preventing water from finding its way between the latters. This sealing arrangement has means (23, 24, 25) aranged to seal against the floor covering (8) by bearing on the latter from above around an upper water receiving opening (32) of the gutter member.

  • Patent number: 6092549
Abstract: The drain system in a building is divided in at least two parts, namely a first part (2) arranged to receive drain water contaminated to a relatively high degree from one or a plurality of first units (3), and a second part (10) arranged to receive drain water normally contaminated to a lower degree from one or a plurality of second units (11, 12). The second drain system part (10) comprises at least one drain conduit (13) and at least one unit (11) connected thereto and so constructed that it lacks traps preventing a flow of air therethrough. An apparatus (16) is connected to the drain conduit (13), for generating such a negative pressure in the drain conduit giving rise to an evacuating flow of air from the room in question in the building through the at least one unit (11) and through the drain conduit (13).

  • Patent number: 6085779
Abstract: A draining gutter, which is adapted to be placed in a floor of a space inside a building for conducting drain water away from the space through a draining conduit (3) connected thereto, has channel (15) adapted to conduct air from the space to the draining conduit upon influence of air present in the conduit away from the space. The draining gutter has also an arrangement (11, 13, 14) for adjusting the air flow resistance of the channel.

  • Patent number: 5446990
Abstract: A fishing lure box is disclosed which can be mounted in a fixed position on a fishing rod, but which can be easily separated therefrom. The lure box is removably attached to an attachment device which is fixed to the fishing rod, especially by a convenient sliding action along a rod segment or along a beam portion having an engaging flange.

  • Patent number: 4200251
Abstract: An apparatus for viewing a target and directing a laser guide beam at the target. A movable scanning mirror is employed to direct the laser guide beam at the target and to direct visible light from the target to an optical sight for viewing a corresponding image of the target. The scanning mirror also reflects infrared radiation from the target to an infrared receiver that generates corresponding electrical signals to produce a visible image of the infrared radiation of the target on a cathode ray tube. A symbol generating means is provided to generate an alignment mark for the imaged infrared radiation. The relative position of the alignment mark with respect to the image of the infrared radiation is determined by the position of the movable scanning mirror and the associated axis of the guide beam.
