    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fastening device for driving into building material, the device consisting of one or more elongate V profiles whose shanks, in the vicinity of the forward, penetrating end of the profiles are outwardly relieved or bevelled such that building material, on driving of the device into the material, is trapped between the shanks and forces them apart. A tip at the forward end of the profile is designed such that, on being driven in, it moves in the driving-in direction.
