    Abstract: A ski having lower frictional resistance created by introduction of an air cushion. At least one chamber is formed in the running surface of the ski to hold air which is introduced through an air entrance on the ski. The sides of the chamber are formed to prevent lateral escape of the air. A channel in the form of a Venturi tube extends between the air entrance and the chamber.
